Best waterproof iPhone case out there. Best drop proof iPhone case out there. Totally sealed from dirt, dust, and water. Though it's taking LifeProof forever to come out with this year's nüüd Case, it's easily one my favorite iPhone cases this year. Feels great to hold. It's thinner. Feels even more sturdy. The backside design has changed. There's now two solid block panels of color on the back top and back bottom. Watch the video for more! I even throw water all over it to demonstrate why I love LifeProof. http://www.lifeproof.com/en
If you're thinking about buying a good iPhone 6 Case, the LifeProof nüüd Case is pretty poor. Even though it's great for waterproof capability, it is not ideal for basic functions of using your iPhone like talking, video chatting, and listening to audio. Which is frustrating. I share the details in this video.
SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/GearistSub For most of us, our smartphones have become a ubiquitous part of our daily uniform – whether that’s in casual or business dress or in our workouts. So, with a $650+ computer sitting in your pocket, it makes sense to protect it as best you can, especially if you use it constantly for pictures and video the way that we do. Today we're going to be breaking down our thoughts and experiences with the Lifeproof Nüüd case for the iPhone 6/6S – a waterproof, screen-exposed case built for everyday or everyday adventures. Now the rub with cases such as this – and by that we mean cases that are really meant to handle anything – is that they’re not cheap. The LifeProof Nüüd comes in at $68 – HOWEVER, do check the links below as we’ve found it for as low as $40. If that seems expensive, just think about how much it is to replace an entire phone. We've got to admit that we're impressed by the LifeProof Nüüd. The speaker audio leaves a bit to be desired but as we mention in the review, that isn’t such a huge deal for us AND we're able to record video with no problems or distortion. If you’re looking for a case that can take whatever you can throw at it AND you want to ability to have your screen unobstructed (even though again, that first time under water is a bit nerve-wracking) you’ve got to check out the LifeProof Nüüd. LifeProof is definitely the go-to case when it comes to waterproofing your iPhone. They offer outstanding protection for your mobile devices without the bulk you might expect from other products. This is the long awaited LifeProof Nuud for iPhone 6. In this review we'll throw it in the snow, drop it, and put it in the washing machine to see if it lives up to the LifeProof name. http://amzn.to/2eaOEdw Please consider purchasing this product through my above Amazon affiliate link. The LifeProof Nuud is one of the best waterproof iPhone cases out there. Trust us, this is one case we'll be putting our iPhone in! Check out the full review: http://mreh.ca/1BxSQm3 Trying to figure out which case to get? http://mreh.ca/1D5UTSW Today we’re going to do the review for the LifeProof Nuud for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. This is a tough, waterproof case for your iPhones and it does it all without an actual screen protector. In terms of design, this is a light case. In fact, the LifeProof Nuud is as thin as most regular slim cases but is just a little wider than a slim case. However, if we compare them against other waterproof iPhone cases, the only one that is smaller is the LifeProof Fre. Installation of the case is quick simple, as with the uninstall as there are no parts to really lose. They’ve made an improvement over previous Nuuds and even the newer Fre with the gasket on the Lightning port cover as its tucked into the flap tightly. There is an issue that I haven’t experienced with the port but others with the Nuud have. I’ll elaborate in the functionality section of the review. The LifeProof Nuud feels solid. It fits generally well but one of the things to note is that using third party screen protectors with this case will most likely allow water into your case. The case holds up well from the occasional drop on concrete and despite having a clear back, the raised rubber portions keep it generally scratch free. In terms of protection, this tough iPhone case provides average water and drop protection at 6.6 ft or 2m for both. That’s still nothing to sneeze at but the average waterproof iPhone case is going to provide that level of protection for you. For water and drop, the iPhone is going to be safe in the Nuud as our torture tests didn’t really indicate any fatal flaws in the case. We did do the torture tests with a screen protector installed on the 6 Plus and that’s a different story. On the iPhone 6 Plus, I had a Holy Grail screen protector installed and right off the bat, I noticed the bulge of the iPhone at the top when compared the iPhone 6 which had no screen protector and because of this gap, the case let in water. LifeProof does say to remove all screen protectors prior to installing this case so you’ve all been sufficiently warned. I’ve got a better explanation on my Torture test video if you need it. With that being said, there are screen protectors that are cut specifically to fit the Nuud but then you run into the problem of having a bit of distortion at the edges of the touchscreen which occurs even with the optionally installable screen protector. In terms of screen protection, we rated this case with the optional installable screen protector which is fairly thick. The edges of the case are sufficient enough to keep the iPhone’s screen off a flat surface. Getting to your iPhone is pretty awesome in this case. The buttons have a nice feel to them and aren’t too tough to get to. The case itself is a little slicker than other cases due to the plastic back but I found my fingers just adjusting to sitting on the rubbery parts of the case. In terms of hardware access, you’re really restricted to Apple’s accessories as the cutouts for the headphones and lightning port are quite small. There is a headphone jack extension but I think the case looks ridiculous with it for everyday usage. The Camera and Flash have their own separate cutouts so you’re not going to get funny looking flash photographs. The touch ID membrane generally works and it’s large enough for you to add fingerprints with the case installed. In terms of screen functionality, since it has no screen protector, it’s great! Even with the optionally installable screen protector, it’s great! The edges of the case are at an angle where getting to your iPhone’s touchscreen doesn’t get diminished. You can’t get totally to the edge but it’s as good as any other slim case. In terms of screen viewability, it’s great! When there’s no screen protector. If you use the optionally installable screen protector, you may get a bit of diffusion along the edge of the screen protector since it doesn’t fit the cutout 100% but that’s me being really picky. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to stay in the loop! If you are looking for an excellent waterproof case that is going to look great on your Rose Gold iPhone 6s Plus, definitely check out the LifeProof NUUD in First Light Pink. Waterproof and shockproof to 6.6 ft, the NUUD is screen protector free, allowing you direct access to your iPhone’s touch screen. And in First Light Pink, this case is definitely a winner on the Rose Gold iPhone 6s Plus. The first NUUD LifeProof sent me to review was black, and while it was a great case, the color didn’t do much for my Rose Gold…so I was thrilled when they sent me out this lovely First Light Pink case to review. As with the first NUUD I reviewed, this NUUD in First Light Pink was operationally outstanding. Build quality seemed excellent, it passed its waterproof test without incident, and it was overall just a great case to have on my iPhone. Comparing the NUUD to the LifeProof FRE I recently reviewed, the NUUD is overall a bit heavier, and seems to have slightly more heavy duty construction than the FRE. The FRE is slightly thinner than the NUUD and feels smaller in the hand. Both cases have good grip and a good hand feel. Which do I prefer? I really can’t make up my mind. I love the direct screen access afforded by the NUUD, but the slightly smaller hand feel of the FRE is welcome as well. Honestly, if you are looking for a waterproof case, both the NUUD and the FRE are great options, and you can’t go wrong with either one. Available in five fun colors, the NUUD has an MSRP of $99 and is available from LifeProof and other retailers. Many thanks to LifeProof for sending me out this case to review! http://www.lifeproof.com/en-us/iphone-6s-plus/nuud-for-iphone-6s-plus/lpnu-apl-iphp15.html http://amzn.to/1W54Fhr (affiliate) Thanks for watching!

The link above is for the iPhone 6S plus and the iPhone 6 Plus. The LifeProof Nuud for the iPhone 6S Plus is a great case that offers waterproof, dirtproof, snowroof, and shockproof. The Nuud includes an optional screen protector to put on the screen which I show you guys how to put it on. I recommend putting it on because it will protect your screen from scratches. Always test out the waterproofing to ensure it works properly. We submerged the case for about 10 minutes and worked perfectly. I highly recommend the LifeProof Nuud case. If you go Nuud, you won't be as Fre. Literally. You can do way more with the LifeProof Fre than you can with the Nuud. Why? Because of a wrist-strap! Seriously? Both of the LifeProof Nuud and LifeProof Fre are cases that are drop rated to MilStd 810g and waterproof up to 2m. Both are LifeProof cases so broken cases will be replaced fairly easily. So what’s the difference? I've got four of them. How did I come up with them? From doing in-depth reviews for both cases. Check out those videos if you need more info for each product. The 4 differences are in no particular order and after going through those differences, I’m going to give you a few tips to help you choose the right case for you. Get the LifeProof Nuud on Amazon: http://mreh.ca/2myAMvp Get the LifeProof Fre on Amazon: http://mreh.ca/2iK67KG *Non-US viewers will need to go through my site for the right Amazon links Here are the four differences that we've come up with: 1. The obvious difference is that the Nuud has no screen protector and the Fre does. If screen viewability is a high priority, you might go with the Nuud. The Fre’s screen protector will diffuse the iPhone’s screen and if you’re picky, you might even notice the gap between the screen and the case. However, the higher edges on the Nuud reduces the chance that you’ll get to your control panel on the first try. 2. The Fre can be attached to your body through a wrist strap. The Nuud will go do it’s thing. This is an important detail for those looking to use their iPhone in awesome things. Awesome things include swimming, climbing and stuff that might incur bodily harm. Basically, if you trip and fall with the Nuud, your iPhone is going to fly away. 3. There is a bit handling difference between the two cases. Previous versions of the Nuud handled quite similar to the Fre but over the last few iterations, the Nuud has taken its own design. A smooth design. Like a smooth, polished, river rock. A smooth, polished, river rock that handles like a wet bar of soap. The Fre on the other hand has a bit more texture and handles quite well when wet. 4. The last difference is the protection that each case offers your iPhone. Despite both cases having the same drop and water protection, the Fre is a tougher case. Why? Because it comes with a screen protector. Which is quite tough as we found out with the iPhone 5 and 6 versions of the case. LifeProof use to include an optional screen protector for the Nuud but mine didn’t come with it. From a sound perspective, the Fre sounded just a bit better but both cases will suffer a bit of muting, like every waterproof case out there. In general, you will be able to take calls with the case if you install it properly. So which case should you get? If you go Nuud, you you aren’t as Fre. Why? Because you won’t be able to do as much with the Nuud. The exposed screen can’t take a face first drop onto an uneven surface like the Fre can. I would get the Fre case if I knew I was going to be doing a lot of outside activities. Being able to keep my iPhone attached to me while I take pictures in precarious positions makes more sense to me. The Fre also provides the most protection between the two cases. For me, the Nuud doesn’t make much sense. It is a tough, drop-rated case that exposes the part of the iPhone that breaks the easiest. It’s like having a window less bullet proof car? It’s like having a band aid with a hole cut out where the wound is? Now when would I get the Nuud? Well, first of all, if you didn’t know any better and you’re at the Apple Store? The most obvious reason would be the lack of screen protector. I'm guessing you're a person that can’t stand having anything between your finger and the iPhone but still need the protection. If this is you, the Nuud is going to be better than the Dog and Bone Wetsuit. The other thing would be the actual texture of the case. For my scoring system, I rate how much texture a case has to gauge it’s one-handed usage. Now the back of the Nuud is incredibly slick but that’s on purpose. I know Otterbox, which owns LifeProof, also does this with the clear symmetry. It feels VERY smooth, it feels like a polished piece of plastic. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to stay in the loop!
