The Burke Gilman Trail is a 20 mile Rails-to-Trails Hall of Fame regional trail that runs continuous from Golden Gardens Park in Seattle to the Sammamish River Trail in Bothell, except for a 1.2 mile section in the Ballard neighborhood now termed the Missing Link. Here are some clips from the concert and dance portion of the Crab Feed with Silent and Dessert Auctions for Leif Erikson Lodge 2-001, Sons of Norway, Educational Foundation, January 25, 2014. The very successful and delicious dessert auction includes some fantastic cakes made by local bakeries for attendees who delight in eating their prize winnings. Proceeds benefit the Leif Erikson Lodge 2-001, Sons of Norway, Educational Foundation fund which supports instructors/counselors at District 2 Youth Camps, attendees to District 2 Youth Camps and young leaders in the community who are attending either an institution of higher learning or trade school. In attendance was the talented Robyn Emery, Queen of Ballard-based Leif Erikson Lodge. Robyn was also selected to be Seafair princess this year. As you can see from this footage, Robyn was invited to jam with Miles from Chicago, a Blues/Rock/Jazz band that provided the entertainment for the evening. She is going to be a star! These clips were taken with the Nokia 920 Windows phone.
