Here we are making one of the LE limited edition kits from Winexpert, and I'm hopefully showing you just how easy they are to make! They take no time at all, and are a sure way to make delicious wines at home from international ingredients. The premium kits have more juice in them, and this kit included grape skins which help give more flavor and body to this red wine. Hopefully you learn a thing or two, or maybe even want to go to http://www.BIYHomebrewSupply.com and pick one up for yourself! Cheers!

Master Vintner Home Wine Making Equipment Starter Kit with Plastic Big Mouth B... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W3PZ1GS/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_x_cVIKzbW8ZAYH1 via @amazon . My wife and I live in Southern California, and we are fortunate to be able to grow grapes in our backyard. We also both love wine, so it was a natural extension that we look into making our own wine. After going online and doing some research, I ran across a guy by the name of Tim Vandergrift. Tim is master wine maker, and considered a home wine making guru. He recommended the Master Vintner Kit, so I decided to give it a try..and this is my review. OK, the good things…Once I opened up the box, I found that it contained virtually everything one needs to make wine. The kit was very comprehensive and didn’t require any additional “upgrades” that some other kits I checked out needed to make wine. Some of the good things that came with the kit were a Big Mouth Bubbler (for starting the fermentation process) and a 5 gallon Car Boy to store the wine, let it age as long as you wish, without the risk of oxidation. There is a thermometer, Specific Gravity gauge, wine whip (degasser), cleaning brushes, and even corks! Unlike many of the wine kits I looked at that were foreign made, the Master Vintner Kit is made in the USA, and that quality shows in the components. Now for the cons…First, the price for I paid for the Master Vintner Kit was a little higher than some of the other kits on the market, but I believe that this is a case of “You get what you pay for”. Because of the quality of components, and that EVERYTHING you need is included, the little extra you pay is worthwhile compared to the cheaper, foreign made kits. I earlier mentioned the Big Mouth Bubbler and Car Boy. The Car Boy is made of heavy duty glass, but the Big Mouth Bubbler is made of high grade plastic. My concern with the plastic was that there may be a chance of BPA leakage. (BPA is a chemical that can leak out of some plastics that is not good for human consumption.) So I called the company tech support line, and after only a few minutes of voicing my concerns, they let me know that the plastic in the Big Mouth Bubbler did not contain BPA’s. Side note: The tech guys are available 7 days a week, and are very knowledgable…another benefit. So after making our first “vintages”, my wife and I sampled our bounty, and quite frankly, we were pleasantly surprised with our first attempt! Our friends also liked what they tasted (and they weren’t just being polite), and asked to try more of our next vintages. I am giving the Master Vintner Kit a 4.9 out of 5 rating. It’s that good! Thanks for looking and listening, and I hope you check out some of my other product reviews.
To learn more about winemaking, check out my website. https://www.smartwinemaking.com/ In this video, I took a Wine Lovers Merlot kit and managed to make a full bodied wine with lots of character. This is relatively easy to do but requires you to deviate from the instructions and add a few ingredients that are not supplied from the kit. Most of what I added are things that you will want to have laying around if you plan to make more wine in the future. Additionally, I concentrated the kit from 6 gallons to 5 gallons and made some acid adjustments to compensate for the change.
