Katana Mythbusting Extreme

Katana Mythbusting Extreme

Note: This is not degrading Katanas in, Tameshigiri athletes and certainly not Japanese swordmakers. It is just a bit of Katana mythbusting, is all. --------------------------------------------------------- The Katana is notoriously famous around the world. While it is no doubts a fearsome weapon and extremely lethal in the hands of the practiced master, how dangerous is it really when wielded by a total newbie? Can a total amateur cut a "human leg" equivalent (Tatami Omote)? Can a crude home made "sword" (sharpened flat steel) cut an Omote mat? Can a Katana cut through a cheap steel sword without any damage? This video has the answers. A "The Slingshot Channel" production.
