A character-centric comedy about an unfortunately friendly demon and the apathetic highschooler he's supposed to be haunting. (more HD details + FAQ below) ------ Due to a request from a film festival, Welcome to Hell is NOW AVAILABLE IN HD!! See all of the messy pencil lines and every little animation mistake in GLORIOUS DETAIL!! I've also decided to animate a few shots that were previously un-animated, and fix a few shots with missing frames!! It's all pretty minimal stuff, but there you have it. ----- FAQ Is Sock a boy or a girl? Listen to the dialogue and read the description, it's not a mystery. What program did you animate this in? It's a super primitive program called pencil and paper. You can get a crack at Office Depot.
Who should pay for dinner at a restaurant, a man or a woman? Which gender stereotypes keep you from being happy? Over 2,000 scientific studies have proved that there’s no difference between genders in terms of intelligence or emotional perception. However, some people still think that “men are from Mars, and women are from Venus.” In today’s video, we’ll talk about the gender stereotypes that don’t just cause a lot of heated arguments online but also limit choices in our daily lives. Children have no idea how to behave according to their gender, so it’s up to their parents and other adults to explain these things to them. For example, boys were once taught to be ashamed of themselves if they cried, and girls were taught never to mess up their dresses. Psychologist Christia Spears Brown says that any child, regardless of their gender, should have 3 types of toys: one for their intelligence, one for their body, and one for their emotions. Puzzles develop intelligence, bicycles and balls are necessary for physical activity, and playing with dolls and soft toys teaches children to be kind and caring. TIMESTAMPS: Are girls supposed to be beautiful and kind? 1:32 Should a man pay for a woman at a restaurant 3:23 Are men polygamous? 4:58 Are women worse managers than men? 5:55 Men don’t cry, do they? 7:18 Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Don’t prohibit your son from playing with kitchen toys and strollers; girls should be allowed to play with toy cars. Don’t use phrases like “Don’t fight! You’re a girl!” or “You have to be strong because you’re a boy!” - If it’s about a balanced relationship, then ideally a man should offer to pay and a woman should refuse. If he gives her a present, she should give him a present too. - Some people think that men have some kind of “gene” that makes them cheat. But the reality is that neither men nor women are monogamous from birth. - Many employers believe that women are not good for management positions, and so they rarely get jobs where they can showcase their leadership skills. This idea creates the “glass ceiling” effect of an invisible barrier that limits women’s career growth for reasons that have nothing to do with their professional skills. - According to studies, men experience anger, sadness, and fear just as often as women, but they express only anger, suppressing fear and sadness (unlike women, who suppress their anger and express sadness and fear). How to understand your cat? 🐱 How to make friends with your cat? 😍 Everyone knows that cats are the most illogical and unpredictable pets. Just try to work out what’s going through that furry little head! It turns out that cats have their own language, and if you learn it there’s a chance you’ll understand them much better. We’ve put together all of the possible cat behaviors to help you find a common language with your pet (well, if it allows you to). Also, we’ve prepared three essential tips that will help you communicate with cats better. HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CAT • How to make your cat trust you Lowering your cat to the ground, make sure its paws have reached the floor. Your cat will trust you and know that it won’t tumble if you let it go. • How to stroke your cat If you sit on the floor with your legs crossed and look at your cat, it will interpret this as a friendly gesture and come up to you to let you stroke it. Also, stretch your hand out in its direction. Your middle finger should be a little lower than the others. The cat will start rubbing its nose or face against your hand. • How to make your cat appear A cat may go and hide and only appear when it’s alone or hears a calm voice. TIMESTAMPS Cat's tail 0:52 Cat's eyes 3:47 Cat's interaction with people 4:38 Cat gestures 6:14 Cat language 6:57 How to communicate with your cat better 8:09 MAIN CAT GESTURES • If a cat raises its nose up and throws its head, it’s saying, “I see you.” Cats often make this gesture to people walking past the window. Have you ever noticed it? • A cat might press its ears against its head if it feels scared, worried, or wants to play. They also do this when they are sniffing something that’s interested them. • When a cat sticks its tongue out slightly and licks itself, it’s worried or anxious. CAT LANGUAGE • Cats generally greet people or announce their presence with a short sound. • Lengthy meowing indicates that your cat is very glad to see you. This occurs if you’re away from home for a long time. • A medium-length meow might be a request for water or food. • A long sound (a mix of purring and meowing) is a more insistent request or demand. • A low meow is a complaint or indication of dissatisfaction. Also, it might mean your cat is ready to fight. • A loud sound often indicates an urgent demand (for instance, you cat needs more food). • A purring or vibrating sound indicates a desire for closer contact or attention. Cats purr for various reasons, but most often they do it when they are happy. Now you know how to find a common language with any cat. By the way, are you a cat person or a dog person? SUBSCRIBE If you like my channel: ► https://bit.ly/2J5HP7j This is Karen, and she wants to tell you about one of the sad episodes of her life. Karen is 15, and some time ago she was about to lose all of her hair that she had been growing all her life. This is what happened. She was born with beautiful dark hair, which they say is a rare thing with newborns. When she was growing up, it got even darker and even more beautiful. Karen stood out in all her pictures right from when she was a small child, as her mom enjoyed giving her different complicated hairstyles every day. The truth is, Karen wasn’t particularly beautiful, so her hair was the thing that made her feel pretty and confident. Every time someone met her for the first time, their first reaction was: “Oh what beautiful hair! Can I touch it?” There are some people who have something unusual about their appearance and who get irritated by this kind of constant touching, but Karen really liked it. As she grew older, Karen started getting a lot of attention from boys. She prefers to think that this was because of her wonderful personality, but she was honest enough to admit that her hair was the reason why they found her attractive. You see, she had never really cut it and it was really, really long. This is why she had always taken good care of it, and at some point, started being too cautious about the health of her hair. For Karen, every hair that was lost was a reason for panic, even if she understood quite well that she was exaggerating the problem. She was so paranoid about it that she started having nightmares about losing her hair lock by lock. She would wake up all scared and sweaty. But don’t think that Karen’s hair was all that she cared about in her life. No one could have called her a shallow person – she did well in her studies and had a lot of hobbies, including sports. And it was because of sports that she started noticing that something was wrong. She was getting tired very quickly; she started losing a lot of weight even though she would eat a lot. Even worse, she got these bumps on her neck that alarmed her mom a lot, so much so that she took her to the ER at once. And after several tests, some of which were pretty painful, she was taken into hospital with a horrible diagnosis. Karen had acute leukemia. You know, that kind of diagnosis that straightaway makes you calculate how much time you have left. She was in a state of shock and didn’t know how she was supposed to feel. The funny thing is, if there was anything funny about this situation, it was the idea that she was going to lose her perfect hair that made her emotional. She would look at the bald heads of other kids in the department and just cry her eyes out. It’s silly, of course, but this was some kind of protective reaction towards the stress she felt. And for Karen, her hair was a symbol of her happy, healthy life that she had now lost. When she was preparing for chemotherapy she didn’t even think about the process or results; instead she could focus only on looking for ways to save her hair. She understood that this was foolish, that she was supposed to be concentrating on keeping her spirits up and fighting the disease, but she just couldn’t help it. Then suddenly help came when she least expected it. Her doctor suggested that she try a new hair loss prevention therapy that essentially meant freezing her scalp during the chemo. It was still undergoing trials, but due to her unusual hair the doctors were interested in how she would react. They said that it was the only credible hope to save her hair, or at least a big part of it. Of course, Karen agreed! So Karen started her chemo more focused and more positive – if you can call yourself positive in such a situation. What’s more important, she now had hope. The hope of saving her hair was closely connected in her mind to the hope of getting better, which is an enormous deal when we are talking about leukemia. She would sit wearing that funny freezing hat getting her therapy and pray that it would go alright. And her prayers were heard. Some time has passed and now she’s in remission, slowly returning to her normal life. And what about her hair? Well, she’s lost some of it, but it still looks good after all the treatment. More importantly, now that she’s a bit older Karen has developed a calmer attitude towards her hair, and she’s not as scared to lose it as much, as she has now knows that when she loses it nothing horrible happens. But she’s convinced that focusing on keeping her hair as a symbol of her healthy life has helped her to fight the disease. She’s glad that’s she still able to tell you this story and thankful to her hair for this. Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com
