For jackets, I have two go-to brands depending on whether I'm looking for a down jacket or standard light-insulation jacket. The former is the Patagonia Down Sweater (600/800 Fill Power) and the latter is the Arc'Teryx Atom SL/LT Jacket. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow on Periscope @ https://www.periscope.tv/the_pomp Follow on Spotify @ http://tybp.us/1Oh2S5P Like on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/jamesbuithepomp Follow on Instagram @ http://instagram.com/the_pomp_official Follow on Twitter @ https://twitter.com/ThePomp

The key to all-round comfort while out and about is a good baselayer, midlayer and finally your outerlayer. A midlayer determines your overall warmth more than any other layer and comes in many different variations to suit your surroundings. In this video we online the three main midlayer types, which are best for which activities and what the benefits and negatives of each one are. The midlayers we used: Rab Quest Pull-On: http://www.trekitt.co.uk/11489/products/rab-mens-quest-pull-on-wren.aspx Arc'teryx Atom LT: http://www.trekitt.co.uk/33876/products/arcteryx-mens-atom-lt-hoody-sangria.aspx Rab Continuum Endurance: http://www.trekitt.co.uk/34331/products/rab-mens-continuum-endurance-jacket-blazon.aspx ⚬ Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/trekitthereford/ ⚬ Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/TrekittHereford/ ⚬ Twitter: https://twitter.com/TrekittHereford?lang=en

Shoes are a complicated matter for me. But for whatever reasons they may be, I prefer drivers as my go-to. Like anything else I wear, they visually and physically lightweight. Simple to wear, but pack a punch to those who know what they're seeing -- a slap in the face to old money. Your baselayer is one of the most important pieces of kit you'll own. It's the piece of kit that determines your comfort next to skin; it wicks away sweat, regulates your temperature, keeps you warm, keeps you cool and most importantly makes your outdoor trip that much more enjoyable. This video explains the benefits and negatives of each choice, which is best for certain activities and which you should choose. The jacket is great with but one flaw! The zipper. I send it back to Arc'teryx to get fixed and it takes almost 2 months! Still this is a warm, packable jacket for summit attempt in cold weather. Just don't be surprised if the light weight zipper gives.
