Would not start even with pressing the power button for 30 secs, or holding the volume up and power button for 15 secs. I live in a country where Microsoft surface has no presence so theres no local warranty. Microsoft surface pro 3 core i5 128gb
The Surface 3 isn't 100% smooth sailing, I keep getting Bluetooth connection issues and the type cover not working at all when connected up (Unknown USB device). See our full Surface review here: http://techtablets.com/microsoft-surface-3/review/ I've encountered this issue a few times now and I have only had my Surface 3 for 4 days. Why have none of the top tech review sites reported this issue? Or is it just me? Surface 3: http://techtablets.com/microsoft-surface-3/
I followed Microsoft's instructions on creating a recovery drive and how to reset my surface. It didn't work and now I am getting this screen. Can some one please help me
Hey guys! So I noticed an error rather quickly since purchasing my Microsoft Surface 3 about 2 weeks ago. I would leave the tablet charging overnight and in the morning, it would still be at the same charge %! I got very annoyed but I went online and got the fix from Microsoft Technical Support. Here are the steps below: Harvey: • Go to device manager. The quickest way to go to Device Manager is, If you have a cover, press on windows key then the letter "x" key and it will show you a list, Choose device manager. But if you are on windows 8.1 and you have no cover, you can go to the desktop, press and hold on the start icon (lower left) for 2-3 seconds then release. It will show you a list, Choose device manager. Harvey: • Tap or click the expansion arrow for the Batteries node. Harvey: • Press and hold (or right-click) on the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery. Harvey: • Tap or click Uninstall. But don’t check to delete. Harvey: • Install Windows Updates, Harvey: • After the Windows Updates are installed Surface should restart and the battery will be automatically reinstalled. Harvey: • Hovering over the battery status icon in the Windows taskbar should show a status of “plugged in, charging”. Harvey: • Let Surface charge to 50% and then restart Surface (not Shutdown) to complete the installation of the update. Hope this helps!
I have a Surface Pro 3 (i5, 128 GB) which has developed a weird touchscreen problem. There is a band on the screen that does not respond to touch but works ok with the pen: There are videos and pictures describing the problem below. http://www.olcaybal.com/files/surface.png I have not found anyone with a similar problem so any pointer to potential solutions would be greatly appreciated!
A couple of years ago I wrote about how to fix keyboard problems with the original Surface RT and it remains a popular post on the site. I have come across another problem with the Surface Pro keyboard that causes it to not work at all looking like a major hardware issue but there is a surprisingly easy fix. When you come to your Surface Pro 3 and the keyboard and trackpad do not work at all here is a quick fix. 1.Shutdown the Surface 2.Hold down the Volume UP and Power Button at the same time for 10 seconds 3.Power on the Surface (if it goes into the BIOS screen tap on Exit setup) 4.The Surface will boot up and hopefully the keyboard will now work.
My thoughts on the new Atom Cherry Trail powered Surface 3 after 5 days of non stop use. Can it be a daily driver? I think it can..Does it feel like an Atom? Not really! Screen will glitch and spazz out because it is registering phantom touches when i am doing nothing. Causes windows to move and resize, work can't be done. Unusable.
Not starting up, stuck on the surface logo and phantom touches. That's insane and Microsoft is charging $1000 on these surfaces. Why can't they fix that for a fee? I didn't put Microsoft complete on it. It's so criminal to charge that kind of money for a computer that won't last. Hey get an apple product instead of the surface or any other Windows computer. They're more reliable than a Windows computer. Has anyone else had this problem with a surface? Hit me up in the comments section below.
