Taxes Are FUN! The Cycle of Life

Taxes Are FUN! The Cycle of Life

Taxes are FUN! Welcome to another fun filled, illustrative conversation on the Junius Maltby Channel. Please open "SHOW MORE" and read some of my comments below: The income tax has NOTHING to do with the finance or creation of these paths we all travel on called ROADS. Roads are often built by ....get this......private companies. More often, it is local and state taxes as well as fuel taxes that go towards road creation. Roads have existed since man decided to go some place. Roads built by the Romans are still used today. Oh wait what? Slaves built them? Anyone asking that misses the point. You don't need an income tax, you don't need slaves (sort of like an income tax), all you need is people to put to work, who want to work and build roads and bridges and find a funding source such as fuel taxes, TOLLS, and so on. It works. Really. The question, "Who will build the roads?" is reserved for the simple minded statist. Federal income tax has nothing to do with local government police and fire protection. Those agencies (when not volunteer Fire) are funded from local INCORPORATED cities, or collections of people who pull their funds and local taxes together. Rome had a FD. The US had the first public fire department in Philadelphia founded by Benjamin Franklin. INSURANCE companies historically paid the rates to fund fire departments. There are multiple funding sources to ensure public safety. No one who is opposed to the income tax wants to live in Somalia. To go that far and use that extreme in the argument leaves us to conclude that the statists lack any creative thought or ability to reason. If big companies polluted local rivers, then local governments could FORCE them to comply with restrictions, and perhaps use a judicial system to ruin them. Please don't equate the income tax with the beginning of civilization and the reason all things are right in the world. We did not have an income tax until 1913. However, in 1894 Congress enacted a flat rate Federal income tax, which was ruled unconstitutional the following year by the U.S. Supreme Court because it was a direct tax not apportioned according to the population of each state. The income tax generates about a million bucks in revenue that goes towards the interest on the debt. If they eliminated the income tax today, we would be at the operating budget level of about 1992-93. We had a government then, a military, an economy, roads, schools, all of it. I say eliminate the income tax and watch this country GROW. Ron Paul was right. We have what, 150 military bases in over 70 nations that cost ONE TRILLION DOLLARS TO MAINTAIN per year? It is called the military industrial complex and President Eisenhower warned us about it. The lobbyists for defense companies grovel to the state in order to stay alive and get more money. WAR IS A RACKET (by Smedley Butler look it up). In our state, the majority of our roads build by private companies PAID FOR BY LOCAL AND STATE TAXES NOT FEDERAL. Again, with the elimination of the income tax, the Federal Guvmint (spelled wrong on purpose) would be at the operating budget of 1992-93. We had a government and military then. We need to end the imperialistic, interventionist ideals of neoconservatism/Liberalism as both of those are destroying America. Create strong borders, pull the troops out and kick anyones ass that tries to come over here. The 3rd world countries of the middle east that you are trained to live in fear of have no airfare, navy, ICBMs, satellites or anything other than terror tactics. Shut the door to them coming here and we're fine. They can pop smoke, kick rocks, shoot goats, rape each other and do whatever they wish. Not our problem. Let the region and Europe or Russia fix it. So much more I could say, but we will end there.
