I normally don't get to film the garbage truck but the normal driver got the week off so this guy collected. He hasn't collected for two years so I am guessing that is why there was some accidents. This guy was cool with me filming him. Enjoy, there might not be much more of republic services garbage. I go back to school on Wednesday. Oh and the reason I stopped was because my camera was out of storage
Here on February 19th 2016 we catch my buddy who i haven't forgotten about at 9:05am emptying the recycling container. After he left the trash truck came within 5 min apart. Enjoy. Notice how he tooted the horn at me. Keep up the great work republic services.

Waste workers at Republic Services in McDonough, GA went out on a Unfair Labor Practice strike on Monday, April 15, 2013..Here on the picket line, workers discuss why they were forced to take a stand against a company like Republic that is willing to break the law to keep workers from having a voice on the job. The workers chanted 'What do we want? Contract!' and 'MLK DAY, WITH PAY'
A general overview of our service offerings including commercial, industrial, construction and residential recycling.
Republic and Dixie Waste Services St. George, UT part 1/2 Ivins, UT 3/21/16 For the drivers: Layne, here is a link to the automated Front Loader attachment “The Curotto Can” I was talking about. http://www.thecurottocan.com/ Keith and Nick, here is the link to the video of your coworker Oscar, filmed by another YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8DNA... David, here are the links for the Heil STARR, Garbage Guru first gear trucks and Waste Expo. http://www.heil.com/products/side-loaders/starr-system http://www.garbageguru.net/apps/photos/ http://www.wasteexpo.com/we16/public/... Before I talk about the video I just have to thank the drivers Layne, Keith, Nick and David. They are all friendly drivers and true professionals, I could not have felt more welcomed in Utah. I also want to thank Republic Services of St. George, along with Dixie Waste Services and one of their owners Jeff for the great job they do. In January this year Washington County rolled out recycling carts and their new program called Better Landfill Utilization “BLU CAN” ( http://www.blucan.org/ ) to many of the cities in the County including Ivins and St. George. Before that, a few cities participated in a optional recycling program. Few residents signed up for that program and the County contracted to Republic for Trash and Recycle. There was (and still is) another recycling program that involves “Binnies” where residents can buy recycle crates from a local hardware store. The residents then fill them up with recycles, take them to a local “Binnie” which is often found in grocery store parking lots, and unload the recyclables. In February this year BLU CAN officially started and Dixie Waste Services started collecting the new BLU CANs while Republic continues to collect the trash carts. And now the video, you will see Layne collecting recycle in his brand new Diesel Peterbilt ZR. Layne really likes the Peterbilt and ZR and he is a Veteran to the waste industry. It was nice to see a ZR in action because before this I had only seen ZR’s on the freeway, at El Sobrante landfill and in person at Waste Expo but never collecting carts. You will also see a Republic Services recycle cart in the video, that is from the previous optional recycle program. Next was Keith and Nick operating the only Rear Loader in St. George, a Diesel Autocar Mcneilus. It was a blast to watch and I was informed by them that the Rear Loader came from another yard. I believe it came from Republic Services of Las Vegas. Reasons being, it was bleeding red paint, it had both a cart and dumpster tipper (there are no RL dumpters in St. George but Republic still to this day has some in Las Vegas) and it certainly sounds and looks like a Republic of Las Vegas Rear Loader. And finally there was David in the Mack LE Python. Besides being a driver, David is a fan of the waste industry. He owns First Gear trucks and he use to work for a small waste hauler in Santa Fe Springs California and he remembers Western Waste and their yard in Santa Fe Springs. This is the only LE in St. George, Davids normal truck is a new Autocar Python which was having mechanical problems. The LE Python was also having a few mechanical problems that day. Before I got to Ivins, I saw the LE at 8:00 am heading back to the yard and before I started filming the LE, there was a maintenance truck on route working on the LE. David informed me that the LE was a spare and that he is much faster in his new truck. Being a Mack fan, it was nice seeing a diesel LE on route again, it had a mean roar and sounded great. Both green and gray carts are used for trash while blue is for recyclables. Flickr Pictures: https://www.flickr.com/photos/1377473...

picking up a bin with sound.
This is is an old United Waste truck that Republic Acquired when they bought out United Waste, I found this truck dropping off a self contained compactor in Davis Square.
