When friends get together, good times are had. Port Angeles, WA
Our family took a whale watching tour with Island Adventures (link below) in Port Angeles, WA. We left Port Angeles and crossed the Strait of Juan de Fuca, cruised along the south end of San Juan Island, and then headed back. We saw Humpbacks on the way across, Orcas around San Juan Island, and both Minke and Humpback whales along with a pod of harbor porpoises on the way back! Only the Humpbacks and Orcas made it into the video. http://www.island-adventures.com/whale-watching-tours/
As I am now moving away from the one town ive lived in for my whole life, I decided I would get impressions of what other people thought of the Port of Angels, the shimmering jewel of the olympic peninsula
Port Angeles, Washington is situated on the northern shore of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. ( http://visitportangeles.com) It is a gateway to Olympic National Park. Because of the dramatic relief—the peaks rise to over 5,000 feet within a few miles of the coast—the area hosts diverse ecosystems, including alpine environments studded with lakes, ultragreen old-growth forests threaded with whitewater rivers, and bays that harbor orcas and steelhead.
