To learn more about winemaking, check out my website. https://www.smartwinemaking.com/ In this video, I took a Wine Lovers Merlot kit and managed to make a full bodied wine with lots of character. This is relatively easy to do but requires you to deviate from the instructions and add a few ingredients that are not supplied from the kit. Most of what I added are things that you will want to have laying around if you plan to make more wine in the future. Additionally, I concentrated the kit from 6 gallons to 5 gallons and made some acid adjustments to compensate for the change.
This is a step-by-step video as we made the Pinot Grigio wine kit by Cru Select. We used the fastferment but these instructions can easily work for buckets or carboys.

I must admit I'm a bit of a homebrew wine skeptic but I decided to do a blind taste test of a couple of homebrew wines against a cheap supermarket variety to see how good they actually are. Special thanks to Hanworth Homebrew for supply one of the wines. Check out HH brewing up a California Connoisseur Merlot here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEA4i_Fb1bA

We made a peach wine from a box kit in the store. This wine is a mist so the ABV is lower than regular wines but much more flavorful. Increasing the ABV is very simple; simply add more fermentable sugars to the wine during fermentation. Please contact us before you do this so we can discuss the amount of sugar to use. We always recommend no more than 2.2 LBS or 1 KG, The process we used was directly from the written instructions in the box. No need to buy anything extra; this kit comes complete. We also used the fastferment to make this wine to highlight its use and simplicity. Check us out at www.barleyandhopsbrewing.com or like us on facebook.
Here are the basic instructions for fermenting, clarifying and bottling a 6 gallon Winexpert boxed wine kit sold at Austin Homebrew Supply. These standard kits will yield 30 750mL bottles. http://austinhomebrew.com
