See more here : https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/southern-family/id1068056472?app=itunes http://www.southernfamilymusic.com/ "You Are My Sunshine" is a popular song recorded by Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchell and first recorded in 1939. It has been declared one of the state songs of Louisiana because of its association with Davis, a country music singer and former governor of the state. The song has been covered numerous times — so often, in fact, that it is "one of the most commercially programmed numbers in American popular music." The song, originally country music, has "virtually lost" its original country music identity, and "represent[s] both the national flowering of country music and its eventual absorption into the mainstream of American popular culture.” In 1941, it was covered by Gene Autry, Bing Crosby, Mississippi John Hurt and Lawrence Welk. In subsequent years, it was covered by Nat King Cole (1955), The Marcels, (1961), Ray Charles, Ike and Tina Turner, The Rivingtons (1962), Frank Turner, Aretha Franklin, Johnny Cash, Brian Wilson, Mouse and the Traps, Jamey Johnson, Low, Andy Williams, and Johnny and the Hurricanes, amongst many others. The 1940 version by Davis has been added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress on March 21, 2013 for long-term preservation. Virginia Shehee, a long-time Davis family friend and member of the Louisiana State Senate from 1976 to 1980, introduced legislation to make "You Are My Sunshine" the official state song. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Are_My_Sunshine Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. George Harrison ☮ "Wah-Wah" ☮ ( Remastered )

George Harrison ☮ "Wah-Wah" ☮ ( Remastered )

George Harrison MBE (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) Grew up with the Beatles and George Harrison , enough said. This song moves fast so try to keep up as all the musicians who contributed to this recording are in this video numerous times. "Wah-Wah" is a song by English musician George Harrison, released on his 1970 triple album All Things Must Pass. Harrison wrote the song following his temporary departure from the Beatles in January 1969, during the troubled Get Back sessions that resulted in their Let It Be album and film. The lyrics reflect his frustration with the atmosphere in the group at that time – namely, Paul McCartney's over-assertiveness and criticism of his guitar playing, John Lennon's lack of engagement with the project and dismissal of Harrison as a songwriter, and Yoko Ono's constant involvement in the band's activities. Music critics and biographers recognize the song as Harrison's statement of personal and artistic freedom from the Beatles. Its creation contrasted sharply with his rewarding collaborations outside the group in the months before the Get Back project, particularly with Bob Dylan and the Band in upstate New York. Recorded shortly after the Beatles' break-up in 1970, "Wah-Wah" was the first track taped for All Things Must Pass. The recording features a dense production treatment from Phil Spector and backing from a large cast of musicians including Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Bobby Keys and the band Badfinger. The following musicians, all included in this video, are believed to have played on the studio version of "Wah-Wah": George Harrison – vocals, electric guitar, slide guitar, backing vocals Eric Clapton – electric guitar Billy Preston – electric piano Gary Wright – piano Pete Ham – acoustic guitar Tom Evans – acoustic guitar Joey Molland – acoustic guitar Klaus Voormann – bass Ringo Starr – drums Bobby Keys – saxophones Jim Price – trumpet, horn arrangement Mike Gibbins – tambourine uncredited – maracas, congas On release, Rolling Stone magazine described it as "a grand cacophony of sound in which horns sound like guitars and vice versa". While several reviewers find the heavy production appropriate for the song, Harrison considered the recording overproduced and the sound too cluttered. "Wah-Wah" was the first song Harrison played live as a solo artist when he performed it as his opener for the Western-music portion of the Concert for Bangladesh, in August 1971. Viewed by some commentators as superior to the studio recording, this version re-created Spector's Wall of Sound treatment in a live setting, using many of the participants from the 1970 album sessions. At the Concert for George in November 2002, a year after Harrison's death, "Wah-Wah" was performed by an all-star band that included Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Starr and McCartney. Inka Gold - ☮☮"Unchained Melody" ☮☮

Inka Gold - ☮☮"Unchained Melody" ☮☮

A friend of mine, William Lively, posted a video on our music page and I loved this verision by Inka Gold so here it is. Enjoy the peace. "Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. North used the music as a theme for the little-known prison film Unchained, hence the name. Todd Duncan sang the vocals for the film soundtrack. It has since become one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by the Righteous Brothers. According to the song's publishing administrator, over 1,500 recordings of "Unchained Melody" have been made by more than 670 artists in multiple languages. In 1955, three versions of the song (Les Baxter, Al Hibbler, Roy Hamilton) charted in the Billboard Top 10 in the United States, and four versions (Al Hibbler, Les Baxter, Jimmy Young and Liberace) appeared in the Top 20 in the United Kingdom simultaneously, an unbeaten record for any song. The song and "Do They Know It's Christmas" are the only songs to reach number one by four different artists in the UK. Of the hundreds of recordings made, it was the July 1965 version by the Righteous Brothers, performed as a solo by Bobby Hatfield, that became a jukebox standard for the late 20th century. This version achieved a second round of great popularity when it was featured in the 1990 blockbuster film Ghost. In 2004, it finished at number 27 on AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unchained_Melody http://www.inkagoldmusic.com/ https://www.facebook.com/inkagoldmusic/ From their website above : Hundreds of years ago a tradition began amongst the ancient Incan people. An elaborate musical tradition which mimicked the roaring winds and sounds of the great Andes Mountains. Instruments made of raw bamboo and clay were created in order to convey the heart felt sentiments of the Incan people. Today in this new millennium Inka Gold continues the traditions created by their ancestors centuries ago. Inka Gold continues to perform the traditional music of their grand fathers while using traditional instruments to create and perform contemporary pieces. Inka Gold has been performing across the United States since 1998. Born in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador, Oscar Andres Morales began playing the pan flutes at the age of seven. As a teenager he toured Europe, captivating audiences from Germany to Belgium. In 1998 Oscar began touring the United States performing for major world music festivals and daytime talk shows. Oscar continues to tour and has dedicated much of his time to recording new albums and creating original scores. His passion is to share his rich tradition of Andean flute music with people all over the word. I quote from their website : “My music is the bridge between cultures; I hope that everyone who listens to it can feel the peace and strength of the Incan people.” Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Hank Williams Jr. "A Country Boy Can Survive" (live) the Woodlands, Texas 8-12-2016

Hank Williams Jr. " performs "A Country Boy Can Survive" at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands, Texas on August 12, 2016. How awesome was this ? "A Country Boy Can Survive" is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Hank Williams, Jr. The song was released as a single in January 1982 and reached a peak of number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles charts in March 1982. It is considered one of Williams' signature songs even though it never reached number one. Shortly after 9/11, Williams re-wrote and re-recorded the song with a patriotic theme under the name "America Will Survive"; the rewrite peaked at number 45 on the Billboard country charts. In early 2007, Williams re-released the original version to commend the 25th anniversary of its original release, in addition to creating a music video for it. This re-release peaked at number 45 on the Billboard country charts. The song has also gained popularity as the fight entrance song for UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes. The song exalts and lists many things that detail the everyday life of country dwellers. The notable second verse mentions the narrator's relationship with a New York City businessman; despite their differing backgrounds the two become good friends and exchange gifts ("he'd send me pictures of the Broadway nights/And I'd send him some homemade wine"). However, the businessman is "killed by a man with a switchblade knife/for $43 my friend lost his life"; Williams replies that he would like to personally kill the mugger himself, but not before "(spitting) Beech-Nut in that dude's eyes". (The "America Will Survive" remix has the businessman being a victim of the 9/11 attacks.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Country_Boy_Can_Survive http://www.hankjr.com/ The preacher man says it’s the end of time And the Mississippi River she’s a goin’ dry The interest is up and the Stock Markets down And you only get mugged If you go down town I live back in the woods, you see A woman and the kids, and the dogs and me I got a shotgun rifle and a 4-wheel drive And a country boy can survive Country folks can survive I can plow a field all day long I can catch catfish from dusk till dawn We make our own whiskey and our own smoke too Ain’t too many things these ole boys can’t do We grow good ole tomatoes and homemade wine And a country boy can survive Country folks can survive Because you can’t starve us out And you cant makes us run Cause one-of- ‘em old boys raisin ole shotgun We say grace and we say Ma’am If you ain’t into that we don’t give a damn We came from the West Virginia coalmines And the Rocky Mountains and the western skies And we can skin a buck; we can run a trout-line And a country boy can survive Country folks can survive I had a good friend in New York City He never called me by my name, just hillbilly My grandpa taught me how to live off the land And his taught him to be a businessman He used to send me pictures of the Broadway nights And I’d send him some homemade wine But he was killed by a man with a switchblade knife For 43 dollars my friend lost his life I'd love to spit some beechnut in that dudes eyes And shoot him with my old 45 Cause a country boy can survive Country folks can survive Cause you can’t starve us out and you can’t make us run Cause one-of- ‘em old boys raisin ole shotgun And we say grace and we say Ma’am And if you ain’t into that we don’t give a damn We’re from North California and south Alabam And little towns all around this land We can skin a buck; and run a trout-line And a country boy can survive Country folks can survive A country boy can survive Country folks can survive Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
