BLOUNTVILLE, TN (WJHL) - Transportation Security Administration agents are supposed to protect passengers and others when traveling, but some people who fly in and out of Tri-Cities Airport complained about the way TSA treated them and their belongings.
The Blue Angels make a stop over at Tri-Cities Airport for rest and refueling while on their way back to Pensacola, FL from an air show in Jones Beach, NY on May 29th, 2016. This video was taken just four days before the tragic death of Opposing Solo #6 Jeff Kuss whose jet crashed on June 2nd, 2016 while practicing for the Great Tennessee Airshow in Smyrna, Tennessee.
A man was recently stopped by TSA agents in the Denver International Airport and asked to undergo additional screening after he had already flown from Minneapolis. Kahler Nygard was confronted by security officers after deplaning his flight, and when he asked if he was being detained, the agents said no but threatened him with arrest if he refused to be screened. The entire incident was captured on video. RT’s Lindsay France has more on the encounter, including the footage. "Passengers at some overseas airports that offer U.S.-bound flights will be required to power on their electronic devices in order to board their flights, the Transportation Security Administration said Sunday. The TSA said it is requiring some overseas airports to have passengers turn on devices such as cellphones before boarding. It says devices that won't power up won't be allowed on planes, and those travelers may have to undergo additional screening. "As the traveling public knows, all electronic devices are screened by security officers," the TSA said in the release announcing the new steps. American intelligence officials have been concerned about new al-Qaida efforts to produce a bomb that would go undetected through airport security. There is no indication that such a bomb has been created or that there's a specific threat to the U.S." * Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) and Ana Kasparian (http://www.twitter.com/AnaKasparian) break it down on The Young Turks. *Read more here from http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/06/tsa-electronics-check-airport-security_n_5561878.html ********** The Largest Online News Show in the World.
