N Korea tries cruising into tourism market

N Korea tries cruising into tourism market

Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Cash-strapped North Korea is hoping to attract foreign tourists. The country has launched its first ocean cruise. The 130 tourists on-board for the tour from Rajin, near the China-Russia border, to the scenic Mount Kumgang resort near the South Korean border were given a colourful send-off by hundreds of North Koreans gathered at the port. On-board though, compartments were cramped and, facilities and services were poor, unlike regular cruise liners. It may not be everyone's idea of a cruise, but tourists on board were thrilled to be sailing to different lands. At Al Jazeera English, we focus on people and events that affect people's lives. 125 N Market

The 125 N. Market (formerly known as Wichita Executive Centre and SC Telecom building) was built in 1963 for the Kansas State Bank & Trust. At that time, the 19-story structure was the largest office tower in Wichita. The building quickly procured tenants and became one of the city’s most sought-after office addresses, with its sleek polished granite exterior and fabulous 360-degree panoramic views. With a covered skywalk across Market Street, the building was directly connected to a multi-block area of downtown businesses, banks and commerce. Learn More: http://www.125nmarket.com/

Food'n Up Our Feed Holes @ Bangkok's Rot Fai Night Market

Food'n Up Our Feed Holes @ Bangkok's Rot Fai Night Market

The Rot Fai Night Market is one of the best markets in Bangkok. It's not that popular with tourists, because it's a bit difficult to get to, but if you make your way there you won't be disappointed... especially if you are looking for incredible food. Of course there is local Thai food, but you can also get western food, Japanese food, Korean food, and more. Despite being in Thailand for Thai food, we couldn't help but try some delicious BBQ ribs as well as a grilled cheese sandwich, which the Thai youth has thoroughly got behind. The food area of the market is impressive, but there's also some incredible shopping there, including some items that you'd be hard-pressed to find almost anywhere else. I'm talking about antiques - from clothing, to furniture, to Star Wars memorabilia. The back section of the market has rows of old warehouse buildings that have been converted into antique shops. They have antiques from all over the world, including old cars. Rot fai means train in Thai. The market, which is sometimes called rot fai train market or just the train market or even Srinakarin Train Market, was once located along some train tracks. After expansion of the Bangkok metro system, the market was moved to a new larger location. It's a huge area with an incredible number of vendors. HOW TO VISIT ROT FAI MARKET Rot Fai Train Market is open Thursday to Sunday from 5PM until late. Its address: Srinakarin Soi 51 Its name in Thai: ตลาดรถไฟ ศรีนครินทร์ To reach it, you can take the BTS to On Nut station and then take a taxi the rest of the way. The market is behind the Seacon Square Mall. Stay tuned for more videos about Bangkok and Thailand. New videos are posted every Tuesday and Thursday at 3PM EST. 👤 ABOUT ME I live in China and am constantly exploring and traveling the country and other parts of Asia.
