An heir to the Getty oil fortune died in his Los Angeles home Tuesday, according to Los Angeles police and a family statement. Police found Andrew Getty, 47, in his bathroom. He was reportedly naked from the waist down and bleeding from a traumatic rectal injury. Police also recovered prescription pills at the home. Getty had reportedly been feeling unwell in recent months. "This does not appear immediately to be a criminal act," said LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith, noting that it is still "very, very early in the investigation." An ex-girlfriend whom Getty had dated for four years may have made the call to police, according to local reports. Getty reportedly filed a restraining order against the ex-girlfriend, Lanessa De Jonge, three weeks ago. Prior to Getty's death, cops had to visit the mansion 31 times. During one visit, De Jange reportedly attacked an officer. The Getty family has received media attention for its misfortunes over the past several decades. In 1973, Italians kidnapped Getty's cousin and cut off his ear in demand for a hefty ransom. In 1999, Andrew Getty's father got caught hiding a secret second family in Los Angeles. Ann and Gordon Getty released a statement confirming their son's death Tuesday, asking for privacy during an "extremely difficult time." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA.
