Jackson Stulas is a 6’- 170 lb 2016 Providence High School MIF. Jackson has been the starting shortstop on the back to back Class 4A (highest class) state champions. Lean, athletic build with room to add strength. At least average Division 1 speed and quickness as evidenced by 6.8 / 60 speed. Ideal 2 hole hitter as he does not mind getting deep in counts. Plays the small ball game extremely well at the plate and on the bases. Offensively, room to add power with more stride separation and lower half explosiveness. Has been more of a “quick hands” type of hitter to date. Jackson is working hard this off-season to add to his game. Defensively, Jackson provides consistent middle infield play and is athletic and versatile enough to play any of the 7 remaining positions besides pitcher and catcher. Slightly below average arm strength for a D1 middle infielder, Jackson has also been busy this off-season addressing this and will be at least average when he steps on campus. A very likable teammate, who is viewed as a leader by his high school and travel teammates. Brings a very loose attitude to a team and is always ready to compete. He will make a nice addition to a program in need of versatility.
