No promises. It's difficult work. ❤ THANKS FOR WATCHING AND HAVE A NICE DAY ❤ ⊗ PLEASE DO NOT REUPLOAD ⊗ Reuploading my videos to your channel drives traffic away from my channel and makes it more difficult to continue this project! This was four years to make and I rely on YouTube earnings to make these in the first place. If you would like to share my work, use the video URL to link back to here. If you want to do reaction video with the animation small in the corner that's fine. ✧ ABOUT THE PROJECT ✧ ⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊⚊ Here is the continuation of Part 3 of Superman vs Hulk. When last we left our heroes Superman was mightily flying Hulk up into the sky. I hear all the time, Superman would just fly Hulk into space and be done with it. I always thought Hulk would put up a bit of a fight and maybe not just let Superman fly him into space. Anyway the fight in the sky I thought would be cool after a lot of ground fighting. So this is my interpretation of what might happen if they were to do battle in the sky. I use the 80's film and television versions of these characters as that as what I grew up watching and inspired this in the first place. Christopher Reeve's likeness is used as in the previous version with slight model enhancements from the last one. I chose to give Hulk a closer resemblance to Lou Ferrigno, in face and body proportion but an eight foot tall, even more jacked version, minus the goofy wig. I use their likeness with all respect and hope it does their portrayals justice. As stated above this was four years in the making. I usually work about 50 hours a week, pretty much whenever I'm home and render day and night on three work computers. There were times I was not interested in working on it and from time to time I take little breaks or go on vacation. Also had taken a studio job doing visual effects for about 8 months for a break and also earn some cash and learn new skills. So if I hadn't done any of that it may have been done almost a year earlier but that's the way it goes. I need a break from it. At a certain point I was really tired of working on it and not really liking it at all. I will share those videos soon so watch for them. Each shot went through many revisions and a lot of stuff was changed or taken out over the years. Took a while to find the right beats to hit. I think it turned out alright though not perfect or studio quality. It was a lot more difficult to stage a sky battle than I thought it would be, a lot more than a ground fight, so I kind of look forward to continuing it on the ground. Terragen was used for making the environment and Maya for the characters. Nuke for compositing and Vegas for editing. Francois Gratecap again did the excellent music work and a first pass at the sound design but that was when the video was not complete so I took over the sound design for a lot of it so forgive the less than perfect sound quality.

Superman vs Hulk - The Fight (Part 3)

For those who would like to support the production of these videos I now have Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/user?u=4171003 This is the third part of my animated Superman and Hulk fight. This project is something I work on from home as an independent project and is not affiliated with any company. It took about nineteen months to finish, starting in May 2012. Other than a few weeks I took off for traveling followed by a couple weeks of technical problems (computer died) I worked on this pretty much full time. About five months in to this I had a hard drive malfunction almost losing months of work, but luckily salvaged a lot of the work from crash files saved on my other hard drive. Even without the delays, this project took way longer than the others and way longer than I ever thought it would. Partially due to the added complexity of higher detail models and environment interaction, as well as the longer running time, way more action to animate, way more scene interactivity, and 1080 HD resolution, which of course renders slower than the 720 HD I had been doing till now. The higher resolution also means mistakes and shoddy work are more visible, so more time is needed to pay attention to details and massage out the render glitches till it's right. Typically, I work out the models and rigs first, then get to animating a shot. For this project I spent the first few months on enhancements and changes to the character models, as well as the desert environment. Also switched renderers, from mental ray to V-Ray, so had to take time learning how to use that. Once models are at a state where the character proportions are set, I block out a the bulk of the action. It's rough and changes drastically as work progresses. I don't have storyboards ore even a clear choreography set out..but rough ideas evolve, things get added and get refined and improve. When animation on a shot is good enough, I do cloth sim on the characters (hulk pants and superman cape, which can take a while to a good simulation. On this project I also did a massive amount of frame by frame model corrections, to get the muscle and anatomy deforming somewhat realistically, which is a lot of work on bloated muscle bound character like the Hulk. Once it's good I render that, which takes approximately one hour per frame, so about one day per second of animation usually. While it's rendering I work on animating another shot, and try to have it ready for render when the previous shot is finished. I took more time into polishing the animation doing several passes or more till it was 'good enough'. Reference footage is usually used when possible to. Then I bring into compositing and try to make it all look as good as I can. Looking at it now it's both better than I had thought it would turn out a year and a half ago and worse than I would like it to be. Still trying to work out how to get better quality renders and environments, but that leaves me with lots to improve on for the next one. Plus I'm sick of working on it and wanted it to be done last year. Anyway this was a lot of work so please don't copy and re-upload to your channel passing it off to be yours. Project specs: Two computers, started with same I used for part 2, then the older one crapped out half way through, so got a new better one, an i7-393 3.2 ghz 64 GB RAM. Was needed anyway to render 1080 hd.. had a hard time rendering some shots even with it. Made with Maya (3D animation), AfterEffects (compositing) Thanks to Francois Gratecap for the great job on the audio mix. contact@francoisgratecap.com https://www.youtube.com/user/francoisgratecap www.blacksquarestudio.com Already have ideas on how to improve for a Part 4, plan to use Terragen for more realistic environment creation for one. I have know idea when it might be done and will not even wager a guess, considering my totally wrong predictions on how long I thought this one would take. *PLEASE DO NOT copy and re-upload to your channel.. it makes it harder for me to keep working on these by splitting my views, causing me to earn less (earnings which I depend on to continue work on future installments), and it's just bad for my morale :( If you are a fan of the video, instead of uploading a copy of the video to your channel, please share the link of my original video or add it to your playlist. Thanks!

Making of Superman vs Hulk - The Fight (Part 4) - Draft #4

This is a little after a year of work on the video. Added a little more animation after the thunder clap, Hulk punching Superman and then Superman eventually getting free and getting Hulk in a choke hold. One of my favourite shots that didn't make it to the end was at 1:27. I think I prefer the look of the environment in at this stage and sort of wish I had kept it but it got changed over time, as things do over time. Some cool alternate angles to the action.

Making of Superman vs Hulk - The Fight (Part 4) - Draft #7

Making of Superman vs Hulk - The Fight (Part 4) - Draft #7

This is around two and half years into the making of Part 4. I had just come off of about 8 months of working in studios, at which time I didn't make a whole lot of progress since I wasn't working on it full time. I'm still playing around with different camera angles at different parts. I took them a little higher in the mesosphere before the thunderclap as I wanted to look like they were on the verge of leaving the earths atmosphere, and have a longer drop time. At this point it was still rough and needed a lot of work in all areas but pretty much all the action is staged out by this point, though more than a minute and a half would be inserted at various points to flesh out the action before it would be finished. The next year and four months would be devoted to full time work to finish the video. ✧ FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO LEAVE A TIP FOR THE ARTIST ✧ PATREON ➤ https://www.patreon.com/user?u=4171003 PAYPAL ➤ paypal.me/mikehabjan

Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/user?u=4171003 Hulk and Superman are in the desert and the fight begins. This is a work in progress and there is more battle scenes to come, this is just the first part. There will probably be two or three sequences to follow this, but I'm doing it in parts because it takes forever to get it done and I want share as it's being completed. I'm open to suggestions and ideas from anyone, so let me know what you'd like to see in fight scenes to come. When all the scenes are done I plan to combine them together into one epic fight.
