Harbor Freight Vulcan MIGMAX 215: Review Pt 1

Harbor Freight Vulcan MIGMAX 215: Review Pt 1

The new Vulcan line of welders for Harbor Freight are now available, and people are interested in how they perform. They represent an attempt by Harbor Freight to offer better welders that compete favorably with name brand welders, but this means they are a lot more expensive than what you might expect from Harbor Freight. I picked one up to find out for myself it they are worth the money. This video is part one, where I just give an overview of the features and included accessories, as well as giving my first impressions of the build quality. I will upload part two soon, where I will do some welding it the machine and see how it does. Part 2: https://youtu.be/zL1sKFBvdoE

Vulcan Omnipro 220 welder Miller multimatic 200 test

This video I run the Harbor freight Vulcan Omnipro 220 side by side with the Miller Multimatic 200 to see how they MIG weld. It was nice to see how well both welders worked. I also talk a little about some of the differences and similarities of both welders. Thanks for watching!

Best Upgrades For Harbor Freight Sand Blast Cabinet | Upgraded & Modified On A Budget

Best Upgrades For Harbor Freight Sand Blast Cabinet | Upgraded & Modified On A Budget

Best Upgrades For Harbor Freight Sand Blast Cabinet | Upgraded & Modified On A Budget Link for blast cabinet: https://amzn.to/2MF24Lr We decided to build our own version of the Tacoma Company Upgrade Kit for about 1/4 of the price. Skip the $399 upgrade kit and build your own harbor freight sand blast cabinet upgrade kit yourself for a fraction of the cost and get the same results if not better. Upgrade your sand blasting cabinet by buying everything you need at your local hardware store and get the same results as the $399 kit you see in other videos. Watch full video for more in depth explanations on specific upgrades we did. This harbor freight blast cabinet upgrade kit includes the following upgrades: *24" LED Wired Light *New Switch & GFCI Receptacle each in their own electrical box *Metering Valve with Ball valve for media recycling & pressure control *All Seams Sealed with geocel® 4500 roof bonding sealant *All bolts installed from inside out to avoid any chance of gloves catching and riping *Cut the grate down to 25 7/8" by 16 5/8". This greatly increases the size on the working are in the cabinet. *Air inlet valve screen to control air flow within cabinet. When we ran the cabinet without this the vacuum suction power was so incredibly strong it sucked both gloves right off of the glove ports. This was because the entire unit is sealed so well and negative pressure in the cabinet *Vacuum inlet switched to the back of cabinet, using the existing plug we connected a dust deputy *Plumbed in PVC for Dust Deputy to avoid having to buy second Shop Vac Hose *Drilled a new hole for air hose from regulator to blast gun, used a grommet in drilled hole *Drilled a new hole for pickup tube/recycling tube from metering valve to blast gun, complete with grommet *All newly drilled holes contain grommets *Added air dryer & regulator at the blast cabinet- it takes a minimum of 25 ft for moisture to build in the hose so it is 100% completely pointless to have air dryer attached at the compressor *Used 3/8 NPT fittings on every hose connection, avoiding all quick connect/disconnect fittings to avoid any air restrictions *Plugged all open ports on door to prevent media from leaking out when opening door *Closed the top of the vacuum inlet baffle to insure negative air pressure in cabinet by cutting the top and bending it in and sealing it off *We are only using the 21 gallon air compressor from HF with a mere 4.5 cfm and having great results. You can totally get away with using one of these and still have an excellent blasting experience. But we will be connecting two air compressors in tandem to double the cfm in the near future...stay tuned for that video *Another upgrade that has made a significant difference was the purchase of a Scat Blast Gun...Here is a link: https://amzn.to/2ta25ii I promise you wont be disappointed! Make these upgrades and I guarantee your blast cabinet will do everything you expect it to do and more. This cabinet is now arguably just as good as any $5,000 cabinet out there...I'll put my money on that statement! If you have any questions please shoot me a comment and I'll answer as best I can. Fabtech 2018 Highlights & Preheat Meetup

Fabtech 2018 Highlights & Preheat Meetup

Fabtech 2018 is over. But it was Awesome. I had my son in law along as cameraman so I was able to get some clips of several cool products. One of the highlights of the show was the preheat meetup at JD Brewers Shop before the show started on monday...lots of talent showed up for the meetup and it was a great time. Once the show started, the days were full of meeting folks, and seeing cool new products. I did a talk on filler metal selection that kinda sucked but I plan on doing better on a future video. At least the panel discussion with Bob Moffatt, and Ian Johnson at the Esab booth went good. Visit my store at https://weldmongerstore.com for TIG Fingers, DVDs, and other quality welding tools. Finnegan's Garage Ep.55: Blazer Rollcage build Tips and A New Welder Giveaway!

Finnegan's Garage Ep.55: Blazer Rollcage build Tips and A New Welder Giveaway!

Once again I've partnered with Miller Welders to give away a brand-new welding machine to the viewer who posts my favorite comment to this video. You could win the Miller Welders Multimatic 220 AC/DC, one of the most flexible machines I've ever had my hands on. The 220 will MIG weld with both solid and flux-core wire, it's also a TIG welder capable of welding in DC and AC modes for steel and aluminum material. It offers scratch and high-frequency starting modes. the 220 is also a stick welder! This machine will weld nearly anything you need it to when modding your car, truck, boat or house. Best of all, it will run on both 120 and 240-volt power supplies. To find out how well it worked, I assembled a roll cage kit for my friend Matt and repaired a couple of my own projects.I was so impressed with the smooth starting arc and trouble-free Auto Set feature that I made this machine my dedicated garage welder and now you can, too! Here's how you can get a shot at winning this fantastic machine. Do me a favor and subscribe to this channel and Miller Welder's YouTube channel. Then leave a comment below telling me why you need the Multimatic 220 AC/DC. My favorite comment posted here over the course of the next 7 days will win. Miller will ship your new welder directly to you. It does not include bottles but will come with a spool of MIG wire, regulators for TIG and MIG welding, and consumables for the TIG torch.
