Trying out some of the best sweets you can find in Harajuku, Tokyo! ▶︎ Subscribe for weekly food videos (https://goo.gl/ehGFrg) ▶︎ Follow us on Facebook (https://goo.gl/2bR8Bu), Twitter (https://goo.gl/uEymLC) and Instagram (https://goo.gl/ZGvWTG) for daily content! Harajuku, the number one spot in Tokyo for shopping, fashion, and…fun snacks! Our friends over at Tokyo Cheapo sent us recommendations for the best treats to try out. You can find the full details of that list in their awesome article here: https://tokyocheapo.com/food-and-drink/harajuku-sweets-guide/ Here are the details of the shops we went to: 1) SWEET XO | Time: 0:56 This shop is mostly popular for their frozen popcorn, very colorful and delicious, but we came for the huge cotton candy they have. Although it was very difficult to eat (because of the humidity and the rain the cotton candy kept melting), the layers of flavors were really delicious, not too sweet, and overall a very exciting treat. Maybe avoid eating it in summer. Shop information: Address: Tokyo, Shibuya-ku, Jingu-mae, 1-16-61 Harajuku 77 Bldg 1F Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/SB8c2zF94GK2 Opening Hours: 11:00AM - 8:00PM 2) MARION CREPES | Time: 2:13 Harajuku is THE spot to try out Japanese crepes. What makes them different from normal French crepes? They usually fill it with a ton of toppings, fruits, ice-cream, and roll it in a cone. It’s very sweet but extremely delicious. Marion Crepes has been around since 1976 and is considered to be the number one place to try them out. Shop Information: Address: 〒150-0001 Tokyo, shibuya-ku, Jingumae, 1−6−15 Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/CYAkDqeDoUC2 Opening Hours: 10:30AM - 8:00PM 3) ZAKU ZAKU | Time: 3:28 A very popular treat, the Croquant Chou from Zaku Zaku, a crispy snack filled with delicious creamy custard made with products from Hokkaido. They make it on the spot, so it’s very fresh! Shop Information: Address: 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya-ku, Jingu-mae, 1-7-1 CUTE CUBE HARAJUKU 1F Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/aCjjp65WzuK2 Opening Hours: 10:00AM - 9:00PM (Monday to Saturday) 10:00AM - 8:00PM (Sunday) 4) CALBEE SHOP | Time: 4:45 Calbee is very popular for their potato-based snacks (hence the potato-shaped mascot), and one of their best-seller is Jagariko, little crispy french fries with different flavors. Here at their shop you can try Jagariko made on the spot. They have to different flavors: salad and cheese flavor. It’s very hot but very crunchy, tasty and delicious. Shop Information: Address: 1 Chome-16-8 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0001 Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/6BLqDUETSc72 Opening Hours: 9:30AM - 8:30PM 5) COISOF | Time: 6:23 A newly opened shop close to Takeshita Street! Their speciality: sesame seed flavored soft creams. The choice is easy: White or Black sesame. The soft creams are topped with Oiri, a traditional Japanese sweet, it’s very light, but crunchy and adds a touch of sweetness. Shop Information: Address:  〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 1 Chome, 8-24 1F Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/mCpVZVgwBPm Opening Hours: 10:00AM - 8:00PM 6) TOTTI CANDY | Time: 6:46 Another very popular place in Takeshita Street, Totti Candy actually has a ticket system to get in, because of how crowded it can get. There you can try out very delicious giant Cotton Candy, modern sweets and Cake Pops: Cute Chocolate balls. They are shaped as kawaii animals and they come in 6 different varieties. Of course, we chose the cutest ones. Shop Information: Address: 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 1 Chome−16−5 Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/pJf4QdMAryn Opening Hours: 9:00AM - 8:00PM 7) GARRETT’S PREMIUM POPCORN | Time: 8:02 This shop is known for its huge line that can last up to 2 hours! We were lucky and thankfully nobody was lining on that day. We got the Cheese flavored popcorn which were out of this world! Shop Information: Address: Japan, Tokyo, 1-13-18 Jingumae Shibuyaku Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/23oKDyBee2p Opening Hours: 10:00AM - 9:00PM About Yummy Japan Our goal is to introduce and showcase the best restaurants and foods that you can find during your travels throughout Japan. Meeting Kurosawa! & GIANT COTTON CANDY FOOD HOP in Harajuku | JAPAN 5/8 Banzski 039

Finally ate something other Family Mart over the weekend of our Japan trip! But on the way, we stopped by Kamakura to visit the grave of legendary Japanese film director, Akira Kurosawa. When we arrived in Tokyo, all Mai wanted to do was eat as much as possible at Takeshita St. in Harajuku! We had dessert crepes, giant cotton candy, a potato churro at Calbee and a sour tasting Mango Soda...before it started raining and cancelled the rest of the day. Luckily, our filmmaker friend Koji was kind enough to give us a place to stay for the night so we can stay out of the rain and continue our Tokyo adventure the following day. He even made us dinner! Felt very sick from the spring allergies on this vlog but had fun nonetheless xD For business inquiries, email me at: banilogrono@gmail.com Follow me on: INSTAGRAM @banilogrono FACEBOOK fb.com/banilogronofanpage TWITTER @banilogrono SHOP EQUIPMENT I USE Sony a7S II - https://amzn.to/2rdFhNz Sony 10-18mm Wide Lens - https://amzn.to/2rd9cFO Sony 50mm Lens - https://amzn.to/2w5a304 Rode Videomic Pro - https://amzn.to/2jnvm3M DJI Phantom 3 Professional Drone - https://amzn.to/2Fy2KgR Canon Rebel T3i - https://amzn.to/2jk27ic Canon 10-22mm Lens - https://amzn.to/2jmHfH4 Canon 50mm 1.8 Lens - https://amzn.to/2rcmCl9 GoPro Hero 5 Black - https://amzn.to/2jmx4m5 Samsung Gear 360 - https://amzn.to/2HMnfZb Samsung S7 Gold - https://amzn.to/2HGk7Ca Apple iPad Mini (for drone) - https://amzn.to/2I4uqPL

HARAJUKU SWEETS, SHIBUYA SHOPPING + ONE LAST TOKYO SUSHI TRAIN

HARAJUKU SWEETS, SHIBUYA SHOPPING + ONE LAST TOKYO SUSHI TRAIN

It's my last day in Japan... sob. I spent my final day in Tokyo revisiting some of my favourite places (and shopping for souvenirs!). Join me for one day in Tokyo, exploring Harajuku and Shibuya. We start the day at Harajuku station and head straight to Takeshita Street. Takeshita street is the main street for shopping in Harajuku and it's a LOT of fun to walk down. With its bright colours, crazy clothing boutiques and the famous Harajuku sweets, it's the perfect place for people watching and soaking up the more colourful side of Tokyo. We look around some of the shops in Takeshita Street before heading on to explore the rest of Shibuya. There are two stores I've been told I have to visit in Tokyo so that's where we head next: Loft and Daiso. Shopping in Daiso turns out to be a pretty crazy experience too. After a day of shopping in Tokyo, we head to Genki Sushi for one last sushi train experience. This is one of my favourite Tokyo sushi restaurants and I'm definitely going to miss the 100 yen sushi! I hope you've enjoyed this Tokyo vlog. I still have two more Japan vlogs to come, so make sure you subscribe and check back soon for those. As always, thanks for watching!
