The murder of the Grimes sisters is a currently unsolved double murder dating from December 1956 when two sisters named Barbara and Patricia Grimes—aged 15 and 12 respectively—disappeared while traveling from a Brighton Park movie theater to their McKinley Park home. Their disappearance initiated one of the biggest missing persons investigations in the history of Chicago.
