I admit it, I used to think God of War was kids' gameplay with an e-peen factor like some random military shooter. I don't remember why I got God of War III, probably got it cheap somewhere, and I didn't even play it. Some day I let my sister play this "crap game" and boy, it was freakin good! Then Sony released the HD remakes of the first two games from the PS2. God of War III was put on the backburner because I wanted to know what happend storywise since it tells you that you already killed some gods and I had no idea what was going on. When I started to play God of War (the first one) I still underestimated it. meh, it's PS2... it's the first game... how good can it be... it's among the most impressive games I've played! the word "epic" is way overused on the internet, but God of War is one of the few games that deserves it. The scale of things, the level design, the story... it's all on such grand scale, there's no other world that does it justice than "epic". While playing, it felt like an adventure. It's all so expertly crafted. I wish I could upload the bonus videos and making-of stuff on the disc, but I would get copyright claims up my butt. David Jaffe sure put a lot of passion into this game (even though it's "not brutal enough" lol). The graphics are sweet. Sure the textures aren't that crisp, but not even the PS3 has good textures so what God of War has to offer is more than fine. The lighting and everything are great too. The only thing that bothers me are the cutscenes. They do load instantly which is good, but they didn't re-render them for the HD remake. They look totally outdated, but still passable. Whoever came up with the orchestral soundtrack of God of War is a genius. The music is incredible. It is also semi-adaptive to what is going on in-game and emphasizes the action, changes the track appropriately or just gets louder for a bit. I need to check if there is the soundtrack somewhere on the bluray disc. Probably not. I have nothing to complain about. The controls are perfect and complex enough that they take some time to master, especially if you would like to chain combos as high as one thousand hits. I think I only ever got to about 250. The difficulty is also just right. "Normal" is a bit on the easy side, higher difficulty can be pretty challenging at times and god difficulty is pretty hard. There is a "Challenge of the Gods" mode too which gives you little puzzles to solve like you need to kill 10 of those dudes with golden shields within a certain time. however, you can't just kill them so... be creative. God of War will keep you busy for a while. I can't wait to see the rest. Don't forget to subscribe if you like my videos! Also, feel free to comment or let me know if you would like to see a game played through here. Thanks!
God of War Gameplay Walkthrough Complete Game for Playstation 2 , Playstation 3 This God of War Gameplay Walkthrough will also include a full Review and the Ending. SUBSCRIBE►http://bit.ly/291hmppA-New-Beginning Twitter ►http://bit.ly/293LdPtA-New-Beginning Facebook ►http://bit.ly/292t8QRA-New-Beginning Gameplay : God of War is a third-person single player video game viewed from a fixed camera perspective. The player controls the character Kratos in combo-based combat, platforming, and puzzle game elements, and battles foes who primarily stem from Greek mythology, including undead soldiers, harpies, minotaurs, Medusa and her Gorgons, cyclopes, wraiths, Sirens, satyrs, centaurs, cerberuses, and boss opponents—the Hydra and a giant minotaur known as Pandora's Guardian. Platforming elements require the player to climb walls and ladders, jump across chasms, swing on ropes, and balance across beams to proceed through sections of the game. Some puzzles are simple, such as moving a box so that the player can use it as a jumping-off point to access a pathway unreachable with normal jumping, but others are more complex, such as finding several items across different areas of the game to unlock one door. Throughout the game world, the player finds chests colored green, blue, or red, and each chest contains orbs of the corresponding color. Green orbs replenish the player's health, blue orbs replenish magic allowing further usage, and red orbs provide experience for upgrading weapons and magic—allowing new, more powerful attacks—and replenishing the Rage meter, which, if full, allows for the usage of the Rage of the Gods ability. Red orbs are also collected by killing foes and destroying certain inanimate objects. The player can also find Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers in unmarked chests. The Eyes and Feathers increase the length of the Health and Magic Meters, respectively; finding eighteen of an item maximizes a meter and in turn, the player's power. Characters include: The protagonist of the game is Kratos (voiced by Terrence C. Carson), a Spartan warrior who serves the Olympian Gods. Other characters include a host of Greek gods, such as Athena (Carole Ruggier), the Goddess of Wisdom and Kratos' ally and mentor; Ares (Steven Blum), the God of War and main antagonist; Poseidon (Fred Tatasciore), the God of the Sea; Aphrodite (Carole Ruggier), the Goddess of Love and Sexuality; Zeus (Paul Eiding), the King of the Gods; Artemis (Claudia Black), the Goddess of the Hunt; and Hades (Nolan North), the God of the Underworld. Several of the gods aid Kratos with magic or weapons. Minor characters include the Oracle of Athens (Susan Blakeslee), the gravedigger (Paul Eiding), the body burner (Christopher Corey Smith), and the boat captain (Keith Ferguson). Other characters appear in flashbacks, including Kratos' wife Lysandra (Gwendoline Yeo), his child Calliope, the Barbarian King, and a Village Oracle (Susan Blakeslee). The game is narrated by Linda Hunt. If you enjoyed the video, please hit the LIKE button! It really helps

You know what happened at the end of God of War if you played it or watched my other playthrough. Kratos, after defeating Ares, became the new god of war. The game starts pretty much soon after that event. Kratos, as the god of war, descends to earth to fight alongside the spartan army followed by Athena who interferes with his actions. That causes Zeus to get involved as well and that's just the first five minutes of the game. God of War 2 is everything the first game offered taken to an even higher level. The game mechanics are the same. You got your set of blades, slice and dice enemies or rip them apart, you climb and hone your skills at quicktime events. I will therefore not go into details that are the same as the previous game. In terms or graphics and sound there have been improvements. This being a PS2 game is just amazing. sure, it's the remastered version, but even with lower resolution it looks magnificent. controls are perfect as usual and the barbarian hammer is a fun weapon as well. there is just one slight issue with this game, in my opinion: Kratos' attitude. I know, he's an anti-hero and supposed to represent that, but I lose touch with what he wants to achieve by how he sometimes ridiculously smashes everything like an angry kid. ok, he's strong and god of war is violent by nature - but he sometimes comes across like an idiot instead of the powerful warrior he is. I'm working on a full playthrough of all God of War games so stay tuned. God of War 3 and God of War - Chains of Olympus are already uploaded and available very soon. Ghost of Sparta and God of War: Ascension are going to follow. Please don't forget to subscribe if you like my videos! Thanks!
GLITCH STATUS UPDATE: Fixed by latest patch. Delete the patch and disconnect PS3 from internet to get the glitch back. This is an update to the New Game+ glitch that gives Maxed Out weapons. If you use the trick in this video, you get Maxed Out weapons + Infinite Health. Rules: 1. TROPHIES are not disabled. 2. Can save, reload, restart without losing INF. Health or Maxed Out. 3. Can start another new game without glitch and play it normally. 4. Can switch between saves and glitch applies only to save made with glitch activated. Means, you can have to runs at same time, one with glitch one without, and alternate between two without any one affecting other. CONFIRMED: You retain INFINITE HEALTH and Maxed Out weapons till end of the game. Points to note: 1. Helps to have 3 Gorgons and 3 Gorgon Serpents in arena. 2. There is a trick to get it done properly. Stand still till Gorgon starts to stare. The moment she starts, jump in air. you will be stoned before you hit ground and shattered. I realized it *after* I messed up my jump once. 3. If find 2 difficult, just keep spamming "X" to jump. May take longer, but will eventually work. 4. INFINITE MAGIC: It is a hit and miss. May or may not get it. So please no more comments about why you didn't get infinite magic 5. INFINITE ITEM: If you notice, I set Item to infinite too, wanted to test if it works, didn't. AKheon did get Infinite Item though, so file this one under Luck Factor. UPDATE: 1. I just tested after recording the video, HEALTH and MAGIC Bar reset to Level 1, but ITEM bar stays at max when you cross River Styx. Also, you don't lose INFINITE HEALTH. So, no need to collect Minotaur Horns, just Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers. UPDATE2: Glitch works even if you say Yes when offered easy mode. Still, to be safe, always say no.
