Original composition performed and composed by Ged Brockie for Anne Campbell. Played on a 1956 Hofner Senator Guitar. Recorded at the Edinburgh college by Gerry Callaghan.
A 1961 Höfner 456 with a maple top, back and sides. The model 457 looks the same but has a spruce top. The date 1961 is stamped under the top, I used a dentists mirror to read it. It is of cause a full hollow body guitar with a Höfner Diamond single coil pickup. Neck with adjustable trust rod and good fingerboard and low action, frets should be replaced. "Like Dreamers Do" is a song written by Paul McCartney in 1959 and is one of the earliest written songs credited to Lennon–McCartney. It was most notably performed by the Beatles at their unsuccessful 1 January 1962 audition for Decca Records. This performance, which took place before Ringo Starr joined the band and featured Pete Best on drums, was recorded by Decca and was finally released on the Beatles' Anthology 1 in 1995. In 1964, the track was recorded by Decca Records' band the Applejacks and released as the group's debut single, reaching No. 20 on the UK Singles Chart. The Applejacks worked with Mike Leander from Decca as the musical director. Bas Muys covered "Like Dreamers Do" on his 1989 album Secret Songs: Lennon & McCartney similarly to The Beatles' original performance. Australian Beatles tribute band The Beatnix also covered it for their 1998 release It's Four You. McCartney has commented that he was not fond of the song and considered it a throwaway. Here I´ve intended to show a possible rendition with the same gear they used to play in 1961/62. - Rickenbacker 325 Capri (John) - Hofner 500/1 61 bass (Paul) - Gretsch 6128 Duojet (George) This video is for entertainment purposes only.

Tilasimme kitaran Kiinasta meidän Tervastuli-bändin bassokitaristille. Basso on Höfner-mallinen. Melkein samanlainen jolla Paul McCartney soittelee. Bassolla on soitettu sekä harjoituksissa, että yhdellä keikallakin ja se toimii todella mainiosti. Viimeistely on todella hyvin tehty, maalaus lähes täydellinen. 5-stars. Good condition, maybe perfect. Painting is very beautiful. I'm happy with this bass guitar. Seller CBD Guitar Store China.
