Tools needed: -Quarter Inch Nut Driver -Flathead screwdriver -Phillips head screwdriver -7/16th socket wrench Step-By-Step on replacing your dryers idler arm part #WE03X20434 1.) Disconnect your dryer from its power source, and turn your dryer around. 2.) Use a Phillips head screw driver to disconnect the heat shield from the back panel. 3.) Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the back panel. 4.) Remove the back splash. 5.) Open your dryers front door and use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two top screws. 6.) Remove your dryers top panel by simply lifting and sliding it right off. 7.) Use your quarter in nut driver to remove the bolts from the inside of the dryer. Be careful when doing this because the edges can be extremely sharp. 8.) Remove the front door by lifting it ever so slightly and placing it to the side. 9.) Remove the wires attaching the front door to the dryer. 10.) Remove your dryers belt by tipping your dryer on an angle and reaching both hands back, your belt is over the motor shaft use a little force to push down the motor shaft and lock it into place this will release the tension on the belt allowing you to remove the belt from the drum. 11.)Remove your drum from the dryer by simply lifting up and pulling out. 12.)Remove your cycling thermostat located right at the front using your Phillips head screwdriver and remove all the wires from the thermostat be sure to acknowledge where all of the wires go for later then place the thermostat to the side 13.)Then remove the two black screws in the front 14.)To start removing your motor remove the screws in the back then unplug your switch interlock by grabbing all the way around and pulling the wires out 15.)Remove your motor by just lifting up and sliding out 16.)Remove your idler arm from the motor b lifting the motor and pulling it out 17.)Use your 7/16th socket wrench to remove your idler pulley wheel from your idler arm and set the idler pulley wheel to the side 18.)Discard your old idler arm 19.)Take your new idler arm and use your 7/16th socket wrench to reconnect the idler pulley wheel to the idler arm 20.)Slide your idler arm back into the motor 21.)Place your motor back into your dryer and place the wires back around the motor and screw it into place 22.)Slide your cycling thermostat back into place and reconnect the wires then screw it back into place using a Phillips head screwdriver 23.)To start reinstalling your belt place it around your drum and lift it into the dryer 24.)Put the dryer on an angle make sure your belt is around your motor and pulley wheel and release it which will tighten the belt 25.)Reconnect the front door starting by connecting the wires then pick up your door and place it onto the slots 26.)Use your Quarter inch nut driver to reconnect the bolts 27.) your can put the top panel back on by simply sliding it into place 28.) Re-screw in the two top screws using your Phillips head screw driver 29.) Reconnect the back splash make sure the sides are locked in properly 30.) Reconnect the back panel and heat shield using your Phillips head 31.)
