Build thread:- http://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/multi-options-mini-sawmill-plans-t86854.html - Multi-options mini sawmill plans featuring 3 versions of sawmill all of which use the same basic frame. Version 1 is a chainsaw mill suitable for use with 16" electric or petrol saws. Versions 2 and 3 are electric bandsaw mills utilising wheelbarrow and mini moto wheels respectively. Build article: http://www.ibuildit.ca/Workshop%20Projects/chainsaw-mill.html This arrangement is great for the short log sections that I have and probably wouldn't be a good solution for anything much longer. Here's a followup video answering some of the comments and cutting through a much thicker log: https://youtu.be/y2LsLRI9nsY Ways YOU can help support the work I do in making these videos: Plans for sale: http://www.ibuildit.ca/plans.html Making these videos is expensive and time consuming, and you can help by becoming a supporter of this channel on Patreon. This video shows how I made a DIY chainsaw sawmill. It is not for cutting large amounts of lumber. I just wanted to get a few planks to turn into stock every once in a while. For entertainment only. I got the idea from Travis on Your Home Workshop channel. I just modified it a bit.
Cutting my own boards using a Mini chainsaw mill. I was surprised at how well it worked.
Building your own chainsaw mill from scratch to accommodate your bar and powerhead is a great way to produce lumber from logs. Milling this way is a versatile and low cost entry point to logging and yields slabs and rough cut boards to your own dimensions. ++++++Plans+++++ PLANS: https://sowl.co/3Q3qL +++++Playlists+++++ CHAINSAW MILL: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9d6LkFNP1fEZJRdP42NwHBYVBbtSWEGF SHAPER: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9d6LkFNP1fEdw-SPCSIUX8NP0x8McHtW LATHE: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9d6LkFNP1fGjdW2RxqSHdSO9D1FEl36c +++++Resources+++++ Below you'll find my affiliate links. If you aren't modeling your parts before fabrication, you really should be. It is invaluable to "build" things in software prior to building them in the shop. You can iterate your assembly details many times yet not add mass to your scrap bin. If you don't feel like tackling the software on your own, I highly recommend Mike Moyer's course [Fusion 360 For Hobbyists and Woodworkers](http://mikeandlauren.thinkific.com/courses/fusion-360-for-hobbyist-and-woodworkers?ref=ff6910). The homemade sawmill is just set up for testing and the railroad is not anchored to the ground, this is the reason why it's vibrating and the chain chokes up couple of times. Äsja metsast koju veetud haab isetehtud saeraamile tõmmatud. Raudtee on katsetamiseks üles pandud ja ankurdamata, sestap vibreerib ringi ja lämmatab paar korda keti.
