BYU-Idaho Nursing Program

BYU-Idaho Nursing Program

Specialized Nursing Program Employment of registered nurses is expected to grow 26 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations. Growth will occur primarily because of technological advancements, an increased emphasis on preventative care, and the large, aging baby-boomer population who will demand more healthcare services as they live longer and more active lives. (bls.gov) The Nursing Program at BYU- Idaho is competitive, but allows for admitted students to complete their Associates degrees and to leave the program with a license. This allows them to find a job right after graduation. Students in the program gain real life experience in hospitals within weeks of being admitted to the program. This story follows Natalie Johnson, a Nursing program applicant and hopeful as she prepares to apply and be admitted to the program. http://www.byui.edu/nursing/ The Official BYU-Idaho Nursing page Includes deadlines and requirements for applicants http://www.nursingworld.org/ American Nurses Assoication Specialized Majors cause Meltdowns I have met a number of people on this campus who have been trying to get in to a specialized program and have had an increasingly frustrating experience in the process. The Nursing program seems to be one of the most difficult specialized programs to be admitted to, because the chances of being admitted to the Interior Design program is zero with it being taken out of the school completely. From those people that I have met, I was interested to discover how truly difficult it is to be admitted and what some of the requirements might be. Luckily, I knew people on both sides of the program; those who were trying to get in, and those who had been admitted. I decided to talk to both and see what they had to say about the program and its difficulty.

High School & University Courses | BYU Independent Study

BYU Independent Study is an accredited online college that provides the opportunity for high school, university or college, and post-college students to continue their education without the restrictions offered by traditional classes. Proximity to the BYU campus is not an issue as we are mostly an online institution. We have students in every state in the United States as well as over 20 other countries around the world. As BYU Independent Study is largely online based, most of our students work directly from their home computers allowing them the flexibility of working on their courses in their own time-frame and at their own pace. With over 200 different courses available, our students have the options to transfer their credits to or from most educational institutions as well as earning a degree completely from us. Flash flood at BYU-Idaho. Manwaring Center flooding! . July 15th 2014

Most of the study rooms were flooded and in the back there was water gushing out of a ventilation pipe like a waterfall. Water was up to my calf and it was hard to walk because the tile was slick!

Rexburg Idaho LDS Temple

Rexburg Idaho LDS Temple

Rexburg Idaho LDS Temple Aerial footage. Hello there, my name is Manny. I am a Photography lover who is slowly transitioning into video. I recently bought a Phantom drone and I have had a blast with it. In fact, this is the very first video I have made. It is definitely not perfect, and I have lots to learn, but I am having fun and that's what matters. Here's a link to DJI if you want to check them out: http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-2 About this video: I live in Rexburg Idaho, I am a student at BYU-I. Our town is pretty small and there are not too many things to do. However, up on a hill, at one of the highest parts of the town rests a beautiful temple from The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. The building is just gorgeous, so I couldn't help myself, I had to record it with my new drone. Here's a link to a page where you can learn about LDS temples: https://www.lds.org/church/temples?lang=eng My views on DJI phantom 2 Vision plus: I love the drone, but I must say that I am not impressed with the camera that comes with it. I have never owned a Go-pro, so I can't tell you what the quality comparison would be like. However, I can tell you that all the videos made by Go-pro look 10 times better than those made with a vision plus camera. This is kind of sad, but true. With that being said, as soon as the newest Go-pro comes out after the Hero 3 Black Edition. Alright, that's all I got. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you like my video. Comments are always welcomed. THANKS!
