The BNSF Emulator is an employee web portal for BNSF employees to remotely access the system. The site however requires java and so you can't browse to it natively from an iPad using Safari. However with Virtual Browser for Firefox App on your iPad, anywhere that you have wi-fi signal you can access sites requiring java such as the emulator. Also works for other Java applets. There is a premium option to use JNLP and webstart apps. Note: all Java apps must be signed in order to run on Virtual Browser for Chrome App from iPad. The BNSF emulator is a remote access tool for employees of BNSF, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. The emulator requires java to run which can be frustrating for mobile users since both iOS and Android don't support Java. However with our app, because you're browsing from your AlwaysOnPC virtual computer hosted on our cloud, you can browse to Flash and Java based websites. There does seem to be several ways to browse to the emulator and not all of them seem work from our app. The one that a lot of people use is either www.bnsf.com/emu or http://www2.bnsf.com:8200 with mixed results, but the link that seems to work for most people is http://www2.bnsf.com:8200/jretest.html?lang=en_US&parms=def3270,enhanced,default,,&WCP_USER=&action=switch.html, which takes you directly to the emulator.

BNSF GP39 disconnects from 3 RTDC commuter rail EMU married pairs following successful shove on Denver Union Station's track 7. I brought this triple married pair back to CRMF.
On April 2, 2013, a BNSF Maintenance of Way force leaves the Golden Furrow siding east of Agency, Iowa. This is an undercutter gang centered around an undercutter (2:00), which is also known as a track lifting unit or TLU. After getting out onto the mainline, a couple machines head east, but most are led westward to Ottumwa by the TLU. Notice the crew member in the rear cab of the TLU as it passes by. The noise at 3:39 is my cell phone ringing. MoW equipment (left to right): Track Lifting Unit undercutter Kershaw tie crane TRIP Tie Remover/Inserter Spiker Ballast regulator Tamper
BNSF 4723 (MSTS featured unit) leads a grain train with trailing units 7801 and 7365.
Caught this a few days ago with the little one. BNSF fans pay attention to the second loco..and we end the video with a Norfolk and Western 3 bay hopper!
BNFS units 6470 & 5721 are leading the charge up the 3+ mile, 1.2% grade known as Saugatuck Hill on the CSX Grand Rapids Sub. Behind them are 130 loaded coal hoppers as well as BNSF manned helper units 6254 & 6412. As the head end passes, I'd estimate the speed to be around 25-30mph, but as they reach the crest of the hill over a mile ahead, the train is at a 5-10 mph crawl as the pushers pass by me. The train, heading to Essexville, MI., has the symbol N956 and the pushers are D802.
