For our most recent midsize sedan comparison test we rounded up a group of six strategically selected entries and headed out on a 400-mile loop. As is our way, we didn't pick a winner here. The comfortable and famously reliable Toyota Camry is absolutely the best choice for some buyers, while the sporty and stylish Mazda6 is the clear choice for others. Our goal is to help you pick your own winner. For the complete story, please visit: http://www.kbb.com/car-news/all-the-latest/2015-midsize-sedan-comparison-test/2000012083/ *Our comparison tests are different from most in that we keep the focus on comparison, not competition. We don't pick winners and losers because the right choice for one buyer is the wrong choice for another. Our goal here is not to tell you which car to buy, but to make it easier for you to decide which is best for you. If you ever conducted a research about sports sedans, you must have been staggered, just like us, by the sheer number of available options on the market. It seems that every single manufacturer feels obliged to add a sports version to the lineup, and it makes us think that it must be some sort of a tradition in the auto industry. Taking into account this broad selection, it gets super tricky to determine which sports sedans of 2018 deserve the title of the best ones. BMW M3: bmw.com/en/all-models/m-series/m3-sedan/2017/at-a-glance.htm In 2018 the second facelift was given to M3, but do not expect to see major redesign, frankly only the front fascia was updated to match M4 Coupe. The engine bay is also avoiding any modifications and will remain represented by a 3.0 Liter bi-turbo straight-six with 431 horses. Audi RS 3: audi.com/en/models/rs-r8/rs-3.html While the sportback AKA hatchback version of this car is enjoying great sales in Europe, the 40 % of all Audi RS3 sedan body sales are expected to take place in North America. The 2.5 Liter inline five-cylinder engine that is concealed under the bonnet is the most powerful 5-cylinder in the world making 400 horsepower. Audi A7: audiusa.com/models/audi-a7 The new generation of Audi A7 has been introduced to the world and the seal of top secret dropped. As expected the model is based on the Prologue Concept and has many design features similar to the 2018 flagship A8. 2018 Kia Stinger: kia.com/us/en/content/vehicles/upcoming-vehicles/2018-stinger Kia Stringer GT is a low sedan with typical Kia “tiger-nose” that is, however, elongated to give the car a more aggressive, sporty look. Subaru WRX STI: subaru.com/vehicles/wrx/index.html This is the fourth year of Subaru WRX STI’s fourth generation and it deserved an update, even though a minor one. In 2018 this automobile is getting a refreshed front fascia, revised suspension, new Brembo brakes and 19-inch wheels. Lexus GS F: lexus.com/models/GSF Lexus GS F is a borderline sports sedan that aspireі to challenge the title of a supersedan but falls a little bit short in terms of power. Cadillac ATS V: cadillac.com Cadillac ATS V is a great combination of sporty performance and style that is on par with the best representatives of the European and Japanese made sedans. Dodge Charger Daytona 392: dodge.com/charger.html Dodge Charger continues giving us amazing muscle car experience, with the convenience of a four door 5-seater. In 2018 the lineup of Chargers’ accounts for 11 models, starting with rather humble SXT with 292 horses and going all the way up to the Hellcat that scares off competition with 707 horsepower. Infiniti Q50 Sport: infinitiusa.com/sedan/q50/gallery.html Q50 is a sport sedan that features a 400 horsepower 3-0 Liter twin turbo V6 gasoline engine with the price tag or $53,000, or there is a hybrid version available with MSRP starting at $52,600 and equipped with a 360 hp hybrid powertrain. Alfa Romeo Giulia: alfaromeo.co.uk/models/giulia-quadrifoglio Giulia Quadrifoglio modification brings the phrase sports sedan to the whole new level. This vehicle was created to combine the comfort of a daily sedan with the performance similar to that of Mercedes C63 AMG S and BMW M3.
