The Eastman 52nd St tenor sax is one of the best horns I've ever played!! I find it to be a very free blowing instrument with a lot of character. I've had this horn for 2 months and I've already have done 3 recording sessions on it instead of using my Mark VI. And before you ask, no I won't be getting rid of my Mark VI anytime soon but the 52nd St. Tenor (and Alto) are currently my go to horns!! Intonation, response, ergonomic, build quality are all top notch! This is a great saxophone! I've been playing CG Italian made mouthpieces for a year and I LOVE them! They recently sent me their new Hard Rubber tenor sax mouthpiece (The Syracuse) and it's a beautiful playing piece. I'm able to get a very lush sound from it plus when I need some extra power it doesn't disappoint! Since moving to Las Vegas I've struggled with reeds since day 1. I'm happy to say that that struggle has come to an end. The Legere reeds have been a godsend! I've tried a few synthetic reeds and for me Legere is the best of the bunch hands down!
