BEST CONCERT EVER
A little slideshow from part of my AC/DC rock'n roll dream in the summer of 2009. We started off with a pre-party at the Moncton Alehouse listening to Don Coleman and his band. Don did Brian Johnson proud! On Thursday, the day of the gig, we picked up Carole from the bus depot and ventured out to Magnetic Hill for the one and only general admission concert in North America. This was the one that my daughter, wife and I attended as a family. Although, local news media said ticket sales were in the 70,000+, they were closer to 100,000 on site. The weather was perfect and the smell of rock & roll was awesome. The enthusiasm of the crowd was probably the best out of the three gigs that I was able to attend. We Maritimers know how to ROCK!!!! It was the only gig where the girls enjoyed the cameras to their fullest potential. Rock on to the gals!! Angus was spot on and you could see and feel the excitement of the band feeding off the crowd.
Terri Pearson strolled by Kings Place singing Dirty Deeds.....in her bikini. She won 2 tickets to AC/DC at Magnetic Hill September 5th!! Thank you Terri!
Don Coleman walked to the AC/DC concert and just before entering the venue he performed a few songs including T'N'T dressed as Bon Scott in a coincidental meeting with Angus (Julien Ceasar - Busker). They were filmed by photographer Mike Simon. Coleman thought the moment was lost as a memory of the prelude to the Black Ice Tour show but both Ceasar and Mike found him on the internet and they reconnected. The meeting of three rock'n'roll spirits through the power of AC/DC.
Watch as contestant Kelly Parenteau attempts to collect $1,000 in cans and bottles over the long weekend with the proceeds going to Care and Share - if she does, she'll win 2 tickets to the sold out AC/DC concert in Edmonton with Rock 102!
Busking for ACDC tickets at Punchestown!
