ABBA - SOS (Maxi Extended Rework Danny Wild 2016 Edit) [1975 HQ] "SOS" was the third single from Swedish pop group ABBA's self-titled 1975 album, their third for Polar Music and their second for Epic and Atlantic. It was released with "Man in the Middle" as the B-side. Agnetha Fältskog, who sang lead, recorded the song in Swedish on her 1975 solo album Elva kvinnor i ett hus. "SOS" was ABBA's first major worldwide hit since "Waterloo".
This is the alternate mix to the ABBA song Waterloo, released in 1974. This version was mistakenly released in Sweden, and when the mistake was found out, the master tape was destroyed. So for The Complete Studio Recordings Box set, Henrik Jonsson mastred the song from a vinyl single
Back to 1979, and 35 years ago this week as I post this clip, a disco-fied Abba release with Bjorn on lead vocal began its chart life in Australia. 'Does your mother know' featured a compelling beat; a catchy refrain and some rock elements as well as those synths that give the recording its dance feel. 'Does your mother know' was a sizeable hit around the world; making the Top 5 in Britain; while making #7 in Australia; and a Top 20 in America. With thanks to the skilled mixer who created this 'Take it easy' remix of this wonderful pop track.

Another song I like, remixed with Proteus instruments. Again, forgot where the MIDI came from.
