Looks like we've found out why the Doblo was blowing out so much smoke ... the turbo is wrecked! I'll see if i can find a reasonably priced repairer or i'll replace the cassette myself.
Hopefully on the home stretch! New rear crank seal installed. Flywheel and clutch back on. Gearbox cleaned off and ready to install. God willing, i'll finish it tomorrow....x
Hi, sorry for shakey video, i'm no expert Youtube fixer! Just an amateur trying to help! Here is a possible solution that i worked out for the MusicMaker 2013 Premium Magix "Vita could not find the file not found VST Instruments" error. An error was coming up after i installed Magix Music Maker 2013 (this may apply to other versions to?). The VST Instruments would not load. Vita reported a file could not be found - YT-MX SD 01 OH 01 XC#1 Y02 in image file Vita Rock Drums/Vita Content - How do you want to proceed? The solution i worked out concerns the "settings.cfg" file in each of the VST Instruments folders. Vita checks for the file path to load from, in my case the path was not correct. The specific line in each of the settings.cfg files begins with "user folder=". This "user folder=" line must be set right to the specific folder for each VST Instrument. For example in the Rock Drums folder, the settings.cfg file had the line - user folder=E:\MusicMaker\content\MxSynth\Rock Drums There was no such directory on my harddrive! So i used Windows Explorer to search for "MxSynth" on my E: drive (the drive where i had installed MusicMaker originally). Windows Explorer found lots of files in E:\Soundpools\MxSynth, so i edited the "settings.cfg" file to read - user folder=E:\Soundpools\MxSynth\Rock Drums ....and it worked! You need to change the "user folder=...." entry in each "settings.cfg" file in each of the folders under, or in, the MxSynth folder. Hopefully the video may help you to fix this problem. Just to clarify, i'm not a professional at this! Sorry if my explanation is not good enough for you. So, step by step, this is (roughly) what i did - 1. Open windows explorer and search for the folder "MxSynth" in My Computer. The results of the search should list lots of files in mostly the same directory. In my case the location was - E:\Soundpools\MxSynth It will most probably be different for you! You have to remember this perfectly, so copy it! 2. Open windows explorer and navigate to - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MAGIX Services\MxSynth. There i found 5 sub-folders in my MxSynth folder called, Bass Machine Rock Drums String Ensemble Vita World Percussion 2. Go into the first folder, in my case Bass Machine. In the Bass Machine folder is a file called "settings.cfg" Right click on this file and choose "copy". Right click in the folder and choose "paste". (we do this to have a backup of the original file in case we mess up!) 3. Next we open the "settings.cfg" file with the Microsoft Notepad program. To do this we right click on the "settings.cfg" file, choose "Open with..." and choose Notepad. 4. Look for a line that begins with "user folder=", it was the 3rd line down for me. Change this line to use the location you found in the step 1. search. eg, my original line was - user folder=E:\MusicMaker\content\MxSynth\Bass Machine my search from step 1. was - E:\Soundpools\MxSynth so i changed the line to read - user folder=E:\Soundpools\MxSynth\Bass Machine Do you see the difference? Then, save the file. ---------------- Repeat 2. to 4. above, ie do the same thing to the "settings.cfg" file in each of the folders inside the MxSynth folder. Finally, run Magix Music maker and try loading the VST Instruments. Vita should no longer report an error, unless this was not the cause of the problem of course! Hope this has helped you. Give me a like if you want?
Almost there! Just ready to fit the cylinder head.
This is an analogue monophonic synthesizer, manufactured at around 1980? I've owned it for about 25 years. For the last eight years it has been stored in the loft / attic. All the keys and controls work. I have cleaned all the potentiometers (pots / controls) with professional grade contact cleaner and lubrication. Description - Good all rounder *especially* when played through effects! Has a really unique sound, with LIVE performance and playability. Really interesting timbre. Some say it sounds a little like a Korg MS-10? The Synthetone SX-1000 is an Italian mono-synth. 37-note C-to-C keyboard, 24 programming controls - It has a single analog DCO with three waveforms: sawtooth, square, and PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). There is an analog filter (12dB/octave) with cutoff, resonance, and LFO modulation. There is also a simple ADSR envelope for shaping your sounds. In addition there are also white/pink noise generators a glide effect and a vibrato effect. It's known for fairly stable tuning too. Thanks for watching!
Jubilee Tower Darwen to Tockholes and Sunnyhurst Wood mountain bike ride. 16 miles, 3 hours. Thanks to Lee for the route, and to John and Jon for the company! Don't forget you can change the video quality! Music from P.O.D. self titled album Payable On Death - Freedom Fighters, The Reasons, Revolution; and from Lost Prophets album Start Something - i Don't Know, Hello Again. Hope you enjoy! Not got to grips with processing/editing the video in HD yet, let me know if you want higher quality?
Almost there, wheels, bumper and road test to do!
Well, this is my first attempt to share a stroll through the multiplicity of sound-scapes and sonicality which the EMU MP7 Command station is able to produce, at the hands of a beginner....! I've been working my way up to sharing something for a while, but lacked that final motivation to upload. However, recently I came across some Youtube videos on the Emu Command station by a helpful chap called Hank V - https://youtu.be/MxcY4TFBKX8 It was whilst watching what Hank V shared that I finally decided to do this thing. So thanks again Hank V! My apologies for the poor sound quality! I recorded this track straight from the main output of the MP7 into a Sony A7 camera. Believe it or not, it took from 6:30am this morning til 4:30pm to get to be able to record sound and video at the same time even this badly... :-O Tried an ipad, computer, audio interface, even different locations in the house - until I found a place in the kitchen, next to the sink!) where radio / electrical interference was not too bad - four different cables, tried main and sub outs, headphone socket.... phew! I will investigate further options too. As I'm sure you will hear, I think the output was too high for the camera preamp. There is no sound level/control on the camera as far as i know, so I'll experiment with the MP7 output levels too. Anyway, hope you like it!
"Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a way that you will win. All athletes practice strict self-control. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I am not like a boxer who misses his punches. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. " 1Corinthians 9 v24-27 An encouragement to my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, to press on, mature, be perfect in our Lord, our Master - to go on in the faith He has given us, by the grace and power He has poured into us in measure ; let us look to Jesus, and follow after Him ; to the glory of the Creator of heaven and earth, the Holy One, Mighty God, and redeemer of all who trust in Him - through believing, by repentance and faith in Jesus! "You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food. And a person who is living on milk isn't very far along in the Christian life and doesn't know much about doing what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who have trained themselves to recognize the difference between right and wrong and then do what is right. So let us stop going over the basics of Christianity again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don't need to start all over again with the importance of turning away from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. " Hebrews 5v12 to 6 v1 (quotes from the New Living Translation of the bible) The music track is "Go" by Andy Hunter, from his album Exodus (2002). Label: Nettwerk/Sparrow Records Excellent album, i recommend it!
