15 Ways to Search Google 96% of People Don’t Know About

Here’s a list of the most effective ways for searching Google to help you find anything in just a couple of clicks. Try these 15 simple methods to search Google for the information! Either this or that 1:07 Searching using synonyms 1:57 Searching within websites 2:40 The power of the asterisk 3:21 When lots of words are missing 3:55 Using a number range 4:38 Searching for a title or URL 5:22 Finding similar websites 5:44 Whole phrases 6:11 Unimportant search words 6:58 Searching for images using images 7:17 Defining words and learning where they come from 7:51 Finding a specific file 8:35 Using Google as a spell checker 9:06 Tracking your packages 9:33 Bonus trick 10:00 SUMMARY Google search is not only a powerful search tool but also the best friend for millions of people. It is always there for you (except for those times when you have no Internet connection – scary), and can help you with anything. It will find the lyrics to that song you heard on the radio but only got “you, me, forever, rain,” share the recipe for the most delicious pie and recommend the best restaurant around. Students can’t go without it, and it is the key source of information for most adults, too. - Simply put in a couple of potential variations of what you’re looking for, and separate them by typing the “|” symbol. Instead of this symbol, you can also use “or.” - If you need to find websites on a given subject rather than those that include a specific phrase, add the “~” symbol to your search. - Sometimes you read an interesting article on a website and find yourself subsequently wanting to share it with your friends or simply reread it. The easiest way to find the desired piece of information again is to search within the website. To do this, type the address of the site, then a keyword or entire phrase from the article, and it should come up immediately. - When your cunning memory decides not to let us remember that one keyword, phrase, or number we need to find what we’re looking for, you can turn to the powerful "*" symbol. Just use it in the place of the word/phrase you can’t remember, and you should be able to find the results you’re looking for. - If it’s the lengthier half of the phrase you can’t remember rather than a single keyword, try writing out the first and last words and putting “AROUND + (the approximate number of missing words)“ between them. - If we want to find out about scientific discoveries during the 20th century, we can write: scientific discoveries 1900…2000. Yes, it is easy like that. It also works with other numbers. BONUS You did some hard work learning to use Google like a pro, so now it’s time to play. If you search Atari Breakout on Google Images, the famous brick breaker will start right there. Enjoy it! 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Flight Attendants

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Flight Attendants

How to Get the Most out of Your Flight. Maybe you love to travel by plane, or maybe just the idea makes you clench your teeth in terror, but we bet you didn’t know all of this. It’s time to ask the experts who fly all the time: flight attendants to reveal their secrets and tips on how to make your flight more comfortable and safe. Many of us consider ourselves experts at navigating departures, flights, and takeoffs almost as naturally as we get out of bed in the morning or take a walk around the block. But however experienced you are, learning some of these insights about airplanes can make your flights more pleasant. It might also make the experience better for the pilot and crew of flight attendants who have to do this all day, every day. TIMESTAMPS All-male crews are a thing of the past. 1:21 Not waiters, but captain’s assistants! 2:36 The crew is just as frustrated as you are. 3:25 Don’t sleep during takeoff or landing. 4:05 Sleeping when cruising is a great idea. 5:13 Chicken or fish? 5:47 Follow instructions — or else! 6:42 Sit toward the back. 7:45 Rely on your flight attendants. 8:49 Flying tips straight from the pros! 9:18 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Before 1930, the crews of airplanes were 100% male, including the pilot, ground crew, and all of the flight attendants. Over a hundred years, the gender roles reversed, and many now see this as a primarily female profession. -In reality, a flight attendant’s job is to assist the captain by managing the cabin during a flight. -Airline crews are typically paid by the hour, but only the hours spent in actual flight are paid. A flight doesn’t actually start until the door is closed. -Experienced flight attendants recommend avoiding falling asleep on take-off, descent, and landing. Not only will you not be attentive during these dangerous parts of the flight, but it can impinge on your comfort. -Attendants encourage passengers to sleep on night flights, deliberately delaying food service to let people fall asleep. -Some flight attendants use a trick to get more people to choose the fish: they say that the fish is a “special” from the “chef,” reserved exclusively for this flight. -Some airlines supply their flight attendants with tasers to deal with passengers who don’t comply. Safety is very important on planes, and they’ve got to be able to control a situation. -Especially if you’re a nervous flier, you’ll be pleased to know that the back seats tend to be far safer, statistically speaking. -Flight attendants are trained in first aid and CPR. They can treat small wounds, assess symptoms of common traveler illnesses, and even deliver babies in-flight. -Never take your shoes off on a plane. Lots of passengers use fold-down tables for all sorts of things: as writing surfaces, pillows (with drool-catching action!), or places to change a baby. Use antibacterial disinfectant, and clean the tray for your own safety. Flight attendants have very little free time during a flight. If you’re thirsty, rather than pressing the call button, consider going up to them to ask for a glass of water. Your Ears Can Indicate Your Health: Don't Ignore These 8 Factors

Your Ears Can Indicate Your Health: Don't Ignore These 8 Factors

It is a normal hygienic procedure to clean our ears once every few days. However, not all of us know that ear wax can also indicate the state of our health. With the help of a Q-tip, you can check the color of your ear wax and understand what it means. TIMESTAMPS What do we know about the human ear? 0:35 Ear wax of a gray color 1:28 Ear wax with traces of blood 2:09 Ear wax of a brown color 3:02 Ear wax of a black color 3:40 Ear wax of a white color 4:25 Ear wax with an unpleasant smell 5:14 Liquid ear wax 6:03 Dry earwax 6:36 See a doctor if you have the following symptoms 7:06 What you shouldn't do to avoid any problems 8:14 Three most interesting facts about your ears 8:47 SUMMARY Ear wax is not a body waste to get rid of regularly, quite the contrary - it's a kind of protection. It keeps the ear canal lubricated, therefore, prevents the ears from itching. Moreover, it prevents different pollutants from entering the inner ear. Even more surprisingly, this substance has antibacterial properties. Our body is a clever mechanism. Did you know that when we chew, the movement pushes ear wax to the outer part of the ear? This way, your ears self-clean! If your ears tend to produce a big amount of ear wax creating a build-up, you can take some preventive measures yourself. - It's effective to use agents softening the wax. They can be mineral or baby oil, or ear drops. It is enough to put a few drops of these substances into your ear once a week to soften the ear wax and help it to come out faster and with ease. - Another way to take care of your ears is to buy a special at-home kit for their irrigation. What HR Managers Learn About You By Looking at Your Clothes

What HR Managers Learn About You By Looking at Your Clothes

If you want to get your dream job, it’s crucially important to make the best possible first impression on the recruiter, and everything, including your style, means a lot. There are five vital things you should know that hiring professionals use to form their opinions about you and decide if you will fit into the corporate culture and get the job or not. Sherry Maysonave, head of Empowerment Enterprises, an image consulting firm based in Austin, Texas, says that the first impression happens in less than 30 seconds and it’s based entirely on your attire. Using the color of your clothes, you can influence other people however you want. Pastel colors in clothes and makeup can help you win other people’s trust. The most important thing is not to overdo it. Blue is probably the best color choice for a job interview, unless you’re aiming for a creative job. The color red represents the life force and the inclination to be successful and efficient. Business suits are not always the best choice for a job interview because the impression you may give the employer is that you are “overqualified.” A tasteful statement dress that doesn’t reveal your neckline and ends around 1 inch above the very top of your knee will do just fine. Your attire should be as close to the company dress code as possible. People are more eager to accept other people who are like them, so the more you look like the other employees, the easier it is for an HR manager to imagine you working with them. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS What the colors of your clothes say about you 0:33 What the style of your clothes says about you 3:21 What your brands say about you 5:07 Illustrative details 5:47 How well can you fit into the corporate culture 6:52 SUMMARY -Blue is probably the best color choice for a job interview. If you choose clothes with contrasting colors, you could make a powerful and dominant impression. The worst color choice for a job interview, according to studies and opinions of specialists, is orange — it’s often associated with something unprofessional. -A business quit is the perfect choice if a manager is hiring for a senior-level position, a flower print dress won’t do in this case. But if you are looking for a job teaching children or a creative job, this type of attire is not just appropriate, but also preferable. -It’s better to impress your prospective employee with your professional achievements and attitude to work than with luxury brand logos. -Bad manicure, old clothes, and other little flaws, can make a very negative impression. Wear small and elegant pieces of jewelry like small earrings, bracelets, and watches. Your bag should have a clear shape. -Use social media to find out all about the company dress code and try to look like the other employees at the interview. 8 Serious Diseases Signaled by Our Skin

8 Serious Diseases Signaled by Our Skin

Here are the most common skin problems which can appear if there is something wrong inside your body. It is very important to be aware of the signals our skin can give us! Usually, we don't think that much about our health, until there's something wrong with it. A lot of the severe illnesses progress quietly in early stages, so you find out the truth only when you visit a doctor for a regular appointment or, even more horribly, when it becomes way too serious. TIMESTAMPS Dark spots 1:04 White patches 1:53 Rashes 2:57 Edemas 4:05 A great number of new moles and tags 5:12 Acne, blackheads, clogged pores 6:09 Flaking 7:23 Excessive sweating 8:30 SUMMARY - If you noticed dark spots, which all of the sudden popped up on your skin, this could be a symptom of adrenal insufficiency or Addison’s disease. Your adrenal glands do not generate enough steroid hormones. Addison's disease may be caused by various factors, including stress. - Another signal of health problems is white patches that start to appear on your skin. In this case, your skin loses pigmentation, and this disease is called vitiligo. It develops when cells called melanocytes are killed by the body’s immune system, causing the area of skin to turn white because the cells no longer make pigment. - Any sudden rashes on your skin show that there is something wrong with your body. It could be an allergy to food, home chemicals, medical drugs, or even a contagious disease, such as chicken pox. In any case, it is better to turn to a doctor because allergic reactions can lead to serious consequences. One of them is a Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which is a severe skin reaction. - If you have edemas every day, it is worth seeing an endocrinologist because they can be a sign of hypothyroidism. This condition can occur when the thyroid gland fails to produce sufficient quantities of hormones. The following symptoms can accompany this disease: dry skin, face and limb edemas, hair loss, fragile nails, and weight gain. - There are many reasons why moles can appear on the skin. A basic and most common one is heredity. If your parents have big birthmarks, you may also have them. Other reasons can be either excessive ultraviolet exposure or hormone imbalance. In most cases, moles are harmless.  - Pretty much everyone suffered from acne at one point or another. And don't get me started on blackheads, this thing is unavoidable. Today numerous commercials and cosmetic brands show us an unbelievable amount of products that claim to clear your skin from acne and blackheads completely. And people usually trust them buying more and more, without realizing that clogged pores are just the consequence and not the main reason. Of course, it's easier just to wash your face and hope it will all go away instead of going on a strict diet and figure out the main root of your skin problems, but if you want to have a fresh and free-from-acne skin, visiting the doctor is inevitable. - In most cases, flaking is not that big of a deal. It is a temporary condition with an easy treatment. However, when the flaking is intense and accompanied by other symptoms, it can be a sign of a serious disease. The reasons for flaking can be a vitamin deficiency, hormone imbalance or allergic reaction. - If you are inside a well-ventilated space with optimal temperature and you are not nervous, then you shouldn’t be sweating as if running a cross-country race. If you find yourself in such situation constantly, it's time to sound the alarm. The reason for excessive sweating can be the toxic diffuse goiter, or Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. All of us are quite busy and can be a bit scared to go to the doctor with some problems, thinking that maybe they will just go away as suddenly as they appeared. Sometimes this happens, but other times your condition may silently progress. Don't put off visiting a doctor, if you are feeling a certain serious discomfort. If it's nothing much, then great! But if there's something wrong, it's better to find it in the early stages, when it's way easier to treat it. 10 Terrifying Places Science Still Can't Explain

10 Terrifying Places Science Still Can't Explain

How to Learn More about the Earth. The scientific community has made great strides in discovering a lot about the planet we call home. Yet there’s still so much we don’t know! In this video, we’ll tell you about 10 of the most mysterious and bewildering places on Earth that even scientists can’t explain! Magnetic Hill, Skeleton Lake, Boiling River and a Dancing Forest. Plus, some mysterious waters where ships disappear. And while the eastern flow drops 50 feet down and keeps flowing into the lake, the western part travels 10 feet down into a giant hole... and vanishes. -Located in Siberia, the Patomskiy Crater is described as a mound with a perfectly circular shape. It’s as big as a 25-story building, sits right in the middle of a wooded area with its top chopped off, and presents quite a sight. -The Boling River really is steaming hot. At a temperature of 187°F, it’s not exactly boiling, but it’s pretty close. -Located on the thin Curonian Spit that divides the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon is one of the strangest places on Earth. The pine trees in this forest have shockingly unusual shapes: they twist in spirals and circles along the ground.
